My name is Jake.

You might think my friends and I are a couple of stupid teenagers with shitty attitudes. You have no idea how much I wish that was true. Man, I'd love to go back to that. My biggest problems in life, back then, were how to tell my brother I didn't make the basketball team and how to ask Cassie on a date.

That was three years ago.

We were 13. A group of five 13 year olds walking through a stupid abandoned construction site when an alien dropped out of the sky and told us about an invasion on earth. Parasitic head slugs that take control of their hosts, turning them into living, breathing meat sacks. They could be anyone. Your brother, your mother, your school principal, the police. If they find out you know about them, you get turned into one of them. You become a slave. You die. Your family dies.

We were the only ones that knew. Five stupid kids whose biggest problems in those days were wondering if that stupid boy or girl liked us enough. We were humanity's only chance.

That's what we've been fighting. I've died on the Delaware, I've seen all my friends holding their guts inside their bodies as we stumbled away broken. I've seen Marco's heart stop beating.

So excuse me if I, and Marco since he's a lot better at this than I am, don't have the patience to be happy or to be polite. This dome isn't the worst thing that's ever happened to us. It's actually been a nice break. If I didn't have a war to win it'd be a nice place to stay.

Look, I am like...the least parental guy in the world, but even I can feel shitty about what they've done to these poor little babies. What's with the baby hate? It's so not right.

Can I just say it's hilarious how much everybody cares about the babies?

Like, really guys, you're surprised? Or this is what convinced you The Management don't have limits? Hurting people, screwing with their heads, etc.... that's all fine, but have some babies be happy somewhere other than with their parents and it's so much worse? Come on.

Changing diapers is annoying, but I'd take this over people getting hurt or threatened. The babies don't care.

What was the purpose of the experiment last week? For that matter, what is the point of any of this?

The liquor store is closed until I'm not using it as an damned infirmary anymore.

From what I'm gathering there are a lot of varied illnesses out there - some of which may be communicable by their description, some may not.

At this point I can't keep jumping all around this damned place to get to everyone.

Do the following conditions apply?
1. You are unable to breathe regularly
2. You cannot tolerate eating / drinking
3. You are weak / unable to stand without assistance
4. You are running a fever above and beyond what you consider normal
5. Have lost consciousness (outside of those little phantom things this place seems to think is so damned cute.)

Those are all things that require medical care. Please come to the pharmacy. I've set up the liquor store as an infirmary as best I can. Each aisle has a bed area.

To anyone with medical training
If you feel able to function as a triage runner, I would appreciate it. Otherwise, another set of hands in the infirmary would be great. Please follow universal precautions. If you don't have gloves and a mask get in here and get some.

Okay, so I don't know if you've been reading, but there's a crazy person out there. I'm not going to be the asshole who starts making rules for other people to follow, but I am going to suggest that we not leave the cabin alone. If you want to leave the cabin, I suggest you leave with another person for safety reasons. I'm more than willing to be a buddy to anyone who needs one. This guy can apparently use magic to set people on fire, so he's definitely dangerous. Be. Careful.

Hello. I recently woke up here and am seeking more information about where we are and how we ended up here. I speak a number of languages, but Vas Capito doesn't translate into anything that I can determine. Do we know anything about The Management and what their intentions are?

Also, has anyone ever heard of an organization called the Alchemists?
