Captains Sparrow and Bonney, we set sail for Bermuda on Thursday, six bells. Does that suit? I've been looking at maps and it looks as though the best route is Freeport-Bermuda-the Azores-Gibraltar. Your port of call is Freeport.
Jack Hotchner, your port of call is Gibraltar. I'm in command of Gypsy, so I'm the only one who's allowed to have you keelhauled if you get stuck in the rigging. Wink wink.

So I've gone and been reminded that it's almost that time again, Easter, or as we like to call it: Treasure Hunt Day. So, April the 24th, Sunday, from noon-ish to whenever we're done. Bring a dish if you like, and bring your friends and relations what aren't already coming on their own. Treasure hunt usually starts right around 2 and luncheon is whenever the treasure hunt's over. |

Attention anyone who's ever sailed under me, there's quite a few of you here now, I believe, I've something I need to get off my chest.
All those years I was swanning about as captain? I never had any real sort've qualifications for the job, I was never a navy man, and my knowledge of sailing was ... well, enough to keep a ship afloat, if barely. Relied on crew who knew what they were doing, and things might've just got out of hand when they kept going. But it was a sham through and through.

Once again I've been terrible about keeping in touch, still going to blame the colder weather for it, did manage a bit of visiting out before the holidays were over, and now it's a new year and a new leaf, so to speak.
I've still a few yuletide presents at the manor for those who I didn't catch up with (William the younger, I'm looking at you, and you Fairy.) and I have every intention of getting out more this year than the past.
We'll see how long this resolve lasts, I suppose. |

So, for those've you who hadn't noticed before, I've returned. Couldn't let Bill bore you all without someone to keep him in check, savvy?
Order of business the second: thanks to a mutiny what was hatched likely before I even landed, I've been shorn. The mutineers in question continue to tell me that the new haircut looks just fine, but s'far as I'm concerned it still feels wrong.
Thirdly ... well, actually it was just the two, so if anyone's a suggestion of a third point, let me know, it'll be much appreciated. |

So, there's soon to be a gala at a nice little museum in Key West, Florida, where a very dear friend of mine works, this gala is to celebrate the opening of an interactive exhibit that follows along with our recent quest to find Shipwreck Island, they've even rebuilt one of the ship's decks inside!
It's taken quite a bit of planning, and our dear Anne is proud of it, she says that even though the quest wasn't much of a success, this alone makes it worth the trip. It's been rather a while since I've had reason to attend such a to-do as a museum opening, and though Anne and Bill both assure me that things will go fine, I can't shake the old paranoia.
Ah well, I'll make the most of it I suppose, always do. |

So, tomorrow, or, rather, later today, we'll be off for Shipwreck Cove, or whatever may be in its place. If you aren't coming with, you're still more than welcome to come see us off.
We're leaving from [location in Florida] and we'll be gone for... some time. How much time is entirely dependent upon our success, and the winds.
For those of you who are coming, you should already have received your assignment as to which ship you'll be going on, the Horizon with myself and Bill, or the Other Vanity with Anne and Petit.
If not, we'll work that out on the docks, won't be the first time we've thrown a crew together from scratch, likely won't be the last. And besides that, what are you doing up and reading at this hour? Get some sleep, you're going to need it.
