WHAT: Ian goes to see Arthur about his condition. Arthur, being one of the foremost experts on mutant genetics, is the ideal person to talk to, but he's not sure if he's going to be able to help him much.

What: Henry tries to jumpstart Ian’s emotions. With drugs.

What: Part of the routine.

( Most days, Ian woke up alone, stared at the ceiling for ten minutes, and then finally got up. Today wasn’t any different. At least not in that regard. )

WHAT: After Ian decks Kenji, he takes Yoko up on her offer to leave the school and check into a hotel together. Knowing that things are getting worse and that he can't keep denying it, he finally decides to tell her about his serious heart condition. All the feels.

( And he’d apologize, later. Over and over until it was right. He just hoped it would be, some day. )

WHAT: Ian and Yoko go out on their fancy date. An evening in which her plans for SHIELD are discussed, she notices that he's withholding something regarding his health, and they talk about his family.

( I just hope you won’t be this bad when the summer comes. Months of getting you and your brother out of your offices and off to some remote location would either end in somebody losing their mind or having a heart attack. )
