The Snarry-a-Thon is open to everyone over age 18 and anyone may claim a prompt. A list of fest rules and FAQs can be found here. Each prompt may be claimed up to four times - twice by an author and twice by an artist. If you would prefer to use a prompt of your own creation or any of the nearly 1,400 prompts from a previous Snarry-a-Thon, please claim Wild Card #1. You can find previous prompt posts at these links: 2009, part 1, 2009, part 2, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

When you sign up, you do not have to list an alternate prompt. But if you do, priority will always be given to your first choice. As this is not an exchange fest, authors and artists should feel free to interpret/adapt the prompts in whatever manner you decide. Requests for specific characters (other than Snape and Harry), specific kinks (unless they are critical to the spirit of the prompt), situations, time periods, or type of ending are up to the discretion of the writer/artist and prompts may have been edited for inclusion. Unedited prompts can be found at the original "Call for Prompts" post on DW, LJ, or IJ.

Timeline:

We'll stop taking prompts at 12 pm (EST) on Saturday, February 1. Then at 9 pm (EST) a complete list of all prompts will be cross-posted to snape_potter on DW/IJ/LJ. Comments will be temporarily disabled to give everyone a chance to read over the entire list of prompts and decide which prompt they would like to claim.

On Monday, February 3, at 12 pm (EST), comments will be enabled on the post and claiming of prompts will begin.

We're thrilled with the prompts we've seen so far, but we'd love to see more. Especially for art and prompts for porn quick fills though all prompts are welcome. Don't hold back. All kinds of prompts are welcome - happy prompts, dark prompts, silly prompts, kinky prompts, fluffy prompts, romantic prompts, prompts set in the past, present, or future, prompts from any universe, both unique ideas and beloved fandom tropes....We welcome any flavour of Snarry. Let your fantasies run wild! Submitting prompts doesn't commit you to anything.

Each person may leave up to 3 prompts but please, no more. And because we will be posting prompts inside a text box, we ask people please try to limit your prompts to no more than two or three sentences. We would like to reiterate that Snarry-a-Thon is not an exchange and personal preferences like who tops or side-pairings not essential to the spirit of the prompt may be edited from the final prompt.

The Snarry-a-Thon is an anonymous, prompt-based fic and art fest hosted at snape_potter. This fest is all about having fun with our favorite pairing and celebrating the enduring love we have for these two men and they have for each other. Posting will begin on April 14, 2014. The Call for Prompts begins Monday, January 20!

This year, we hope to have a fest that will meet everyone's Snarry needs. We will be hosting three fests at snape_potter: Snarry-a-Thon14, The Road Not Taken AR/AU fest, Secret Snarry Swap and one challenge.

For those who like to work from prompts with no limitations on length, there is Snarry-a-Thon14, for those who like an Exchange fest or bite-sized entries during the busy end of the year holidays, there is Secret Snarry Swap, and for those who like to pick up spur-of the moment challenges, there will be our annual summer challenge in July before we slide into Fall and our revolving themed fest, The Road Not Taken AR/AU fest.

The first fest of the new year will be the 6th annual Snarry-a-Thon. Prompt-based and anything goes, our signature fest begins posting April 14th.

The summer months are always a bit slow and we want to perk things up a bit with a challenge. Details will be announced closer to the date, but you can be sure Severus and Harry will be involved somehow. *g*

Since our Autumn fest has a revolving theme, this year the theme for the Autumn fest will be The Road Not Taken AR/AU fest. Magical, non-magical, take any point in canon (including the epilogue!) and deviate from that or use an entirely different setting or time period for our favorite boys entirely. If you can imagine it, we want to read (or view) it!

Our final fest will be Secret Snarry Swap with a participant poll and details to come closer to sign-ups.
