Summary: A soft blanket of comfort can be found in the early morning commuter rush at King's Cross. It's always been a solitude of Harry's own – a private world in the fog surrounding the tracks – but perhaps the absolution he needs is in the company he shares.
A/N: I decided my offering for this year's Snarry-a-thon was going to be all about my happy places. My deep love in fandom art is illustrating stories. There is something about bringing a scene to the page (virtual or paper) and the challenge that it involves that really gets my creative juices flowing – in particular when a writer pens something so provocative, heart warming, or visually memorable that it gets imprinted upon my brain. Hands down, my favorite genre is hurt/comfort, so I went to my list of current favorite comfort fics and the one that immediately jumped out was oliversnape's A Grim Old Cat. I knew immediately which scene I wanted to draw. This story of Snape and Harry and how they help each other heal post-war is one of my favorites from this author and I reread it often. This particular scene is the one that tugs my heart the hardest (darn you, Oliver!) and deciding to create it was a no-brainer. I also did something I hadn’t done in ages; I dusted off my beloved coloring pencils and made this a multimedia piece, a fun return to the first HP art I ever created back in 2008. I didn’t know how much I missed going beyond just the digital. Thanks so much to oliversnape for granting me permission to illustrate this. It made me deliriously happy, and I hope I did it justice. I tried for a sense of sparseness and quiet, giving two men all the room in the world to be who they were meant to be.

Summary: In the months after Voldemort's death, both Severus and Harry have retreated from the Wizarding World at large. This, however, doesn't stop others from visiting.

The Snarry-a-Thon is open to everyone over age 18 and anyone may claim a prompt. A list of fest rules and FAQs can be found here. Each prompt may be claimed up to four times - twice by an author and twice by an artist. If you would prefer to use a prompt of your own creation or any of the nearly 1,200 prompts from a previous Snarry-a-Thon, please claim Wild Card #1. When you sign up, you do not have to list an alternate prompt. But if you do, priority will always be given to your first choice. As this is not an exchange fest, authors and artists should feel free to interpret/adapt the prompts in whatever manner you decide. Requests for specific characters (other than Snape and Harry), specific kinks (unless they are critical to the spirit of the prompt), situations, time periods, or type of ending are up to the discretion of the writer/artist and prompts may have been edited for inclusion. Don't hold back. All kinds of prompts are welcome - happy prompts, dark prompts, silly prompts, kinky prompts, fluffy prompts, romantic prompts, prompts set in the past, present, or future, prompts from any universe, both unique ideas and beloved fandom tropes....We welcome any flavour of Snarry. Let your fantasies run wild! Submitting prompts doesn't commit you to anything.

Each person may leave up to 3 prompts but please, no more. And because we will be posting prompts inside a text box, we ask people please try to limit your prompts to no more than two or three sentences. We would like to reiterate that Snarry-a-Thon is not an exchange and personal preferences like who tops or side-pairings not essential to the spirit of the prompt may be edited from the final prompt.

The mods will stop taking prompts at 7 pm (EST) on Sunday, February 3. After we stop taking prompts, a complete list of all prompts will be posted that same day at 9 pm (EST). This year, we hope to have a fest that will meet everyone's Snarry needs. We will be hosting three fests at snape_potter: Snarry-a-Thon13, The First Time for Everything fest, and Secret Snarry Swap. For those who like to work from prompts with no limitations on length, there is Snarry-a-Thon13 and for those who like an Exchange fest or bite-sized entries during the busy end of the year holidays, there is Secret Snarry Swap.

In previous years Snarry-a-Thon posting has usually begun on Easter. However, since Easter is earlier this year and we feel we've more than resurrected the Snarry around here ;D, your mods have to decided to push the date back until mid-April for this round. Check out the calendar for all the relevant details, but please note that all Snarry-a-Thon13 entries are due April 1 - and we aren't joking! Posting will begin April 15 because there are only 3 certainties in life: death, taxes, and Snarry. ;D

Since our Autumn fest has a revolving theme, this year the theme for the Autumn fest will be the First Time For Everything fest. No! Not necessarily that first time (though it can be). It doesn't even have to be the first time our guys tried a particular sexual activity or position. First day on the job where Harry is Severus's supervisor, buying a house, or the first time Severus picked up the tab on a date with Harry. Any first between the two will work.

Our final fest will be Secret Snarry Swap with details to come closer to sign-ups.
