Yesterday was the longest day of the year so it's the perfect time to announce our Snarry Summer Challenge!

From drabbles to novels, fluff to angst, anything Snarry is welcome during the month of July.

This year we'll be having weekly themes/prompts for those folks who like a bit of inspiration. Of course, you are free to create anything with a summery theme.

The "Odd Jobs" Fest is an anonymous, one-shot, fic and art fest hosted at snape_potter on LJ, IJ, and DW in which you'll be tasked with creating a new and possibly unusual job for Severus and Harry! Wand maker to professional pianist, herbologist to aerobics instructor. There are only a select few occupations which are forbidden. For Severus they are Magical or Muggle Professor, Spy/double agent, Apothecary owner, Unspeakable. For Harry they are Auror or police officer, Quidditch player, DADA professor and Curse-breaker.

Here's where you can leave suggestions for new and/or unusual careers for Severus and Harry. The sky is the limit but we want to remind you of two things:

#1 There are only a select few occupations which are forbidden. For Severus they are Magical or Muggle Professor, Spy/double agent, Apothecary owner, Unspeakable. For Harry they are Auror or police officer, Quidditch player, DADA professor and Curse-breaker.

#2 We are not collecting prompts--just jobs. If you want to see Harry as a Healer in the Maternity Ward, awesome! Severus as a professional chocolate taster? Sure thing. Other details/preferences will not be included in the final list.

Sign-ups begin Monday, June 15!

Apologies for the lateness of the 2015 Fest Schedule! Better late than never. :D

This year, we hope to have a fest that will meet everyone's Snarry needs. We will be hosting three fests at snape_potter: Snarry-a-Thon15, Odd Jobs Career Change fest, Secret Snarry Swap and one challenge.

For those who like to work from anything goes prompts, there is Snarry-a-Thon15, for those who like to warm up with Snarry during the busy end of the year holidays, there is Secret Snarry Swap, and for those who like to pick up spur-of the moment challenges, there will be our annual summer challenge in July before we slide into Fall and our revolving themed fest, The Odd Jobs Career Change fest.

The first fest of the year will be the 7th annual Snarry-a-Thon. Prompt-based and anything goes, our signature fest begins posting April 20th.

The summer months are always a bit slow and we want to perk things up a bit with a challenge. Details will be announced closer to the date, but you can be sure Severus and Harry will be involved somehow. *g*

Since our Autumn fest has a revolving theme, this year the theme for the Autumn fest will be Odd Jobs Career Change fest. Tired of Harry as an Auror? Wonder how Severus would fare as a traveling salesman? This fest gives you the opportunity to break the boys out of their traditional careers and try something new. If you can imagine it, we want to read (or view) it!

Our final fest will be Secret Snarry Swap with details to come closer to sign-ups.
