Summary: "You're her next of kin," said the social worker, cutting through the silence. The clock ticked in the background. Potions bubbling away in the next room over. And Severus Snape found himself holding a baby in his arms.
A/N: The title was taken from Gilmore Girls. The baby was named after the Jane Austen’s character Emma Woodhouse.
