It feels strange to be home. Everything feels different and the same, all at the same time. I've been feeling quite uneasy since I've been home, which I'm sure most of us have.

I do hope everyone is able to enjoy their break. The weather here has been very agreeable, I love that we've been able to enjoy a nice sunny day. I also happened to take a picture of my sister, looking stunning as always, and I thought I'd share it with everyone.

I'm also looking for a new book to read, does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not incredibly picky about the genre, I like to keep an open mind.

Please accept my apologies for not reaching out sooner! I know there have been students concerned with how DA credits will transfer into later careers when they call for DADA. If any of you have the concern, I would be more than happy to share my notes from last year for anyone that needs it. Or if you're looking for any sort of extra help, I'd be pleased to tutor anyone.

Please pretend this was posted the evening of the 15th, that way Padma doesn't come across as insensitive since the DP article would have come out in the morning of the 16th.

Over the recent months many changes have taken place at our beloved school. What was one a fine institution of learning, growing, care and acceptance has turned into something quite different. As students we looked up to our Professors to not only provide us with the necessary skills to achieve our dreams outside of these halls, they also would set an example of what it means to have courage, loyalty, intelligence and ambition. To mix all of these together to be the best version of ourselves has been one of their greatest lessons.

It is our fundamental right to feel and be safe and protected in this school. We know that isn't the case.

I am calling out both Professors Carrow and their appalling behavior today. In order to get information on Dumbledore's Army, they questioned my sister with the most detestable methods. They attacked, hexed a student badly enough that she had to be sent to the Hospital Wing. This kind of behavior from our teachers, our guardians is inexcusable. These "professors" use methods that do not belong in our school or our society. They starve us, hex us and demand that we give them loyalty, and I for one give no loyalty where it is not earned.

Despite my sister being a Cursebreaker, I didn't imagine that field being an option for me. I am curious to know why I was even recommended for it.

I'm debating on whether or not I should tell our sister that I was recommended for a career in her field. I think she'd be too excited and would possibly demand that I come stay with her in Japan.

Thank you for everyone that worked hard to the carnival together and helped out. I enjoyed some of the booths.

I spoke to Neville, as it turns out he didn't send me that gram. He told me he sent one that said something else. The last time I was this embarrassed was the Yule Ball.

Professor Flitwick wasiswas a very beloved Professor. He was kind, generous, full of live and humour. He has been an excellent instructor and has always shown a great interest in all of his students. Anyone who has spent time with him could tell you how much he loved his job. He wanted to see his students succeed in life. He is the kind of Professor every Professor should strive to be. He was a wonderful mentor and I will miss him greatly.

Congratulations to everyone that got a role in the upcoming play. I know it may feel strange, to be excited about something given the recent tragic news, and that's understandable. It is okay to find joy, even during a terrible time. If you want to be happy, be happy, if you want to grieve, grieve. It does not have to be one or the other, a person is capable of feeling more than one emotion at a time.
