Who: Bryton and Josh
Setting: kitchen of The Crown
Josh had decided that the term 'orientation' was completely wrong. He'd apparently gone through a day of 'orientation' yesterday and he was still guaranteed to get lost in this damn boat. Everywhere looked the same, endless corridors, very few windows - and where he did come across the little round portholes, they all showed the same thing - endless water. It was playing havoc with what little sense of direction he had anyway.
Still, he'd had his day - learning about the does and don't on board the Odyssey. Who the residents and guests were, what levels their places were on. What parts of the ship were off limits to staff, what parts of the ship were technically off limits to those people who weren't staff. What to do in event of an emergency, that sort of thing.
Today, well, today was work and Josh had left his cabin early, determined to be on time for his first day. He and Ky both knew that their place on the Odyssey was reliant on their holding down jobs, so even though he was just washing dishes and helping out with whatever else needed doing in a kitchen (bearing in mind he had absolutely no professional kitchen experience), this was probably the most important job he could have. It could, quite literally, save his life.
Still, he inevitably got lost, meaning that he burst through the staff entrance to the kitchen, slightly out of breath from having run the last little bit, but managing to be exactly on time. Not early, but not even one minute late either. He'd take that.
