[Just as evening starts to fall, one of the parks in Sector 4 has been festooned with streamers, bright lights in a variety of colors, a big upraised dais, tables of refreshments, and music. It looks like a perfectly normal party from the outside. Optional masks are provided in little bins beside the dais, but you're responsible for your own costumes...!

...And if you're dressed as a character, the moment you step onto the dais, you will believe yourself to have led that character's life for your whole life. This effect will last until "midnight", in this case Sunday, even if you leave the party.]

[Firmer yet, voice darkening as displeasure mounts and grows]

I really dislike it. [Fingers clench tighter, a vice like grip that shatters, unrelenting upon the fragile wrist beneath.] I really...DISLIKE IT. [A sharp twist and a crack as bone snaps easily in her hand, dark brown eyes rising to stare furiously into Saki's face.]

I INVITED YOU DIDN'T I? WHY ARNE'T YOU BEING NICE TO ME!?

[Stupid doll stupid doll stupid doll stupid doll! Her body's tense, upset for a moment as though about to cry...before A low, abrupt giggle penetrates the space between her outburst. Oh how silly! If she doesn't like the things her doll says, why not fix the problem?]

Hee hee... I'll just remove it. ♥ [Glancing up, madness lights her eyes as a wide grin spreads across her face, sharp fangs peeking out and clearly evident. She tilts her head to the side cheerfully.]

Hold still for a moment. [Forcing a broken wrist and the opposite one together in a tight hold before her, Yuuki's other hand moves to Saki's mouth, prying it open with strong fingers.] If we take out the voice box, you won't have to say such mean things to me anymore!

[Saki feels her wrist growing warm before the bones shatter, her vision blurring with hot, unshed tears -- never wanted to cry again, never wanted to feel pain or weakness again--

But there isn't any time, and it hurts so much, a single sharp cry loosing from her lips; the white hot pain dulling only as her horror flares. She can only limply let ~~Yuuki~~ the thing that looks like Yuuki pull her wrists together, feeling the snapped bones shift and press under the grip.

But she still tries to move her head, whimpering against Yuuki's fingers, please don't do this--]

[Observing everything in a little more proactive manner than he normally did at these sort of events was something necessary tonight. Zero had immediately noticed the changes in a large number of inmates in attendance. Yuuki was one of those and as such, he'd been keeping a closer eye on her tonight. He had been a little bit away from the scene when everything escalated, but he'd immediately rushed across the floor to their side just a second after Zelman reached them.

Arm wrapping around Yuuki's waist, he tugged her away a few feet to get some distance between the two girls.]

Leave her alone, Yuuki.

[Head tilting to the side to observe Zelman, eyes widen in surprise. Someone is... interfering? The pressure to her own arm is uncomfortable, firm and demanding. Yet even as she opens her mouth to speak another interruption hurdles her backwards.

Why...?

How terrible. All of the foolish humans and individuals are here because of their crimes. What right do they have to interfere with her? Mere chains and annoyances.]

Why would you... think to interrupt me?

[Saki's eyes flicker upwards with one-- no, two-- no, three rescuers.

It's to Zelman that she goes when Yuuki is pulled away, her injured wrist pressed tightly against her stomach -- another weak moment he gets see -- and clutching at the closest fold of his jacket that she can find. Her breathing is heavy, laboured, and her voice shaky--] You're late. [She called you what, an entire minute ago? Forty-five seconds?]

Sorry Yuuki, but it looks like the party's over. [ directs his attention to Saki, but doesn't let his grip go on Yuuki's wrist just yet. Zero and that female Slayer may have just arrived on the scene, but this was Yuuki at her most dangerous. ~~he knows too well what vampires do when they're half-sane~~ ]

Try not to move your wrist too much. [ 'sorry'. shifts so that Saki's a little behind him. ]

[His immediate instinct was to check on the victim, but knew that if Faith really did think that she was him, she'd cover that. Zero also knew there was a strong measure of trust between both Zelman and Saki and he was capable of keeping an eye on her. His focus needed to be on getting Yuuki out of there and back to her usual self.

His gaze, calm but cold, turned to Zelman to give them some time to accomplish this.]

	[she anticipated this, but Yuuki's still really fast. which is why her nails manage to scrap against Faith's shoulder even as she dodges, getting cloth and scraping by skin in the process. the jagged points don't help either (more rips in her clothes and blood in those cuts), but she stands firm against them.] [YOUR NEXT MOVE I WILL BE PREPARED...] (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
