In honor of Van's birthday...

Original poster: frances_veritas

I don't remember if this has been mentioned here, yet. But as some of you might know Van's birthday is on the 25th of this month.

And instead of sending him presents and all that good stuff, people over at VanHansis.net decided to raise money to sponsor a student at the high school Van went to. It's a small, little private school called Walnut Hill. And Van always mentions what a great education he got there and how important that school is to him. Also, the school has always tried to help out students that want to get into performing arts and study theater. But since it's such a small school, money has always been an issue.

SO.

If you want to contribute, all information can be found HERE.

So far Luke and Noah fandom has raised $4,580, which is incredibly amazing. We're going to try and reach $5,000 by Friday. :D :D :D

Jake and Van are going to be at the Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids Flea Market on September 21st, and fans that are attending are going to surprise him with it there.

So if anyone's interested, go check it out. :)

More and bigger versions under the cut.

I think Jake and his co-stars need to be naked. All the time. )

Pics by monalee62 from the VanHansis.net message boards. Posted with permission, she said I could spread the hotness that is Jake. :-D So please do not repost anywhere else without asking her first. :)

AIDS Walk NY in honor of Van, Jake, and Billy

Original poster: starryeyedmagic

Next weekend, May 18th, is the 22nd AIDS Walk NY, and As the World Turns has formed a team to help raise funds for GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis) and 40 other organizations providing services to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Me and a couple of my friends have registered with the ATWT team and look forward to walking with them.

Van (and Billy Magnussen aka Casey) are attending an event this Wednesday to raise money for the AIDS Walk and probably wish they could be joining team ATWT at the walk, but can't since they're going to Soapfest in Florida. Thus, it would be great to raise money in honor of Van, Jake, and Billy for a cause we know they are passionate about.

The board members at VanHansis.net raised over $6000 to give to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids in December in Van and Jake's honor (Project Holiday Spirit) so we thought it would be wonderful to do something like that again for the AIDS walk.
So please visit Team VanHansis.net's fund raising page and donate what you comfortably can to help make team ATWT and AIDS Walk NY a success.

We'd love to be able to inform Van and Billy on Wednesday that we were successful in raising money for a cause that they care so much about.

Thank you, in advance, for your support and for showing that you join us in wanting to end this epidemic!

Here's a cute and fun little news clip about the GLAAD Awards that LukeVanFan found for us.

I think I officially have fallen in love with them as a real life couple. They look so happy together.
