The kids all desperately want to go trick-or-treating tonight. So I'm going to take them around the neighborhood.

I know that it's a lot to ask that you all keep some candy for them to take home with them to the Orphanage, so I've bought some from Sweeting Sweets for anyone who might not be able to afford it. If you'd like some from my reserves, please, please just let me know so I can drop by? It would make the kids so happy.

I realize that this is... the opposite of the right time to ask this, but needless to say all of the recent activity has the kids scared stiff. But apparently things are so bad at the orphanage that it doesn't have them scared enough not to come to "school." The only thing it has them too scared to do is go out and play. Which means that everyone is coming for lessons and only leaving once their schedules and chores demand it.

This means that I have my hands full with not only more than the usual amount of students, but more emotional, scared, and tempestuous ones on top of that.

If anyone could come and lend their aid... I think I'd speak for all of them when I say that we'd really appreciate it. It doesn't even have to be guest lectures-- though I'm sure they're tired of my teaching them transfiguration, charms, and potions day in and day out-- but at this point I'd even take just... donations of food, honestly. Anything. I'll take anything at all.

If any one of you is tight on rent, food, or anything else while the Maiden Head's doors are closed, my flat and kitchen is open to all of you.

It's just a one bedroom, but it's better than nothing, and I'm happy to take the couch or even the floor if need be.

I know that this might be a stretch, but the school is out of chalk. Could anyone help out? I know there's a way to make it from scratch, but that would require plaster, and I don't know that any of us have access to that, either.
