The more that I think of the events surrounding the trial, the more it feels like elaborate pageantry. A way of justifying the hatred against us, despite the fact that Poppy was most certainly not an ally of those whose daily reality is the slums. Why else would they draw it out so long? They are trying to build frustrations and tensions on both sides, by keeping us all separated and downtrodden with fear. I just…….I am getting so bored of this. They must realise that there is only so much people can take.

An interesting fact about January, for those of you who are not aware.

The month of Junaury was named after god Janus known as God of new beginnings. It is known that God Janus had two heads through which he could watch in both directions, back to the old year and front towards the new year.

So take this month as a opportunity to look back at what has happened previously, and then look forward to decide for yourself what kind of future you would like to build.

I've been working to restore one of the ruins into a sort of temple-- a gathering place where Muggleborns of different faiths can come and feel connected to their upbringing. A place to find hope.

If progress continues as steadily as it has, it should be finished fairly soon.

In lieu of the recent news that one of our own is a murderer, it has become clearer than ever that we require a justice system. I'd be happy to draft up a series of basic laws that we can then agree on, but it would still require a vote.

As I believe in democracy, I would like to suggest this temple-- a large enough meeting space for us to comfortably gather-- for us to utilize in order to vote on measures. These voting sessions could either be at the same time each week or as needed, with flyers posted around the neighborhood to alert people as to the time and date. This space would be quite safe on account of a number of wards.

Your attendance and your vote would be voluntary but greatly encouraged.

If anyone has a better idea, please do let me know. I'm more than open to alternative suggestions.

What can I do?

The people above my flat will not stop having the loudest, noisiest intercourse possible. I've tried Quietus, but it was essentially useless considering the noise level in question. I've tried knocking and asking them to stop, but of course they're too loud to hear someone knocking in the first place. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to get anything done under these conditions.

Neville, I'm coming over and staying there for the foreseeable future.

I understand that we're all a little bit like family in the slums. Some of us even don't bother locking our doors if we're home. There's an honor system, and we trust each other.

I understand all of that.

But the next drunk idiot that wanders into my flat like its his and steps into one of my cauldrons is getting a hex thrown in their direction, chef's choice!

Two things. First, despite this not having been us, I'm sure we'll be the one to face the backlash for it. What should we do? Is there anything we can do? I already talked those trigger-happy morons out of burning down three Diagon florists for now, but we need something we can do going forward to differentiate between our actions and theirs. Because conflating the two will only strengthen the Ministry's claims against us.

Second, I'm making a batch of veritaserum, but I still have some older vials. We should start taking it now and try to build up a tolerance. Frankly, I can't think of anything that I would mind you knowing, so I'm obviously comfortable doing this with you. If that was a concern of yours whatsoever.
