It was only later that afternoon that Shou decided she was going to visit Sarah. Following the landlord's instructions, she found herself to the front door of the building that Sarah was in. Just one obstacle remained.
The door.
After jiggling the handle every which way, and finding no keyhole, she concludes, "The door must be jammed shut."
She stares at it for a moment, before nodding to herself. "If it's jammed shut, then people can't get in and out, so....I'd be helping out if I unjammed it!"
That was all the encouragement she needed to give herself, as she jams her spear in between the door and it's frame, just above the latch. She then pushes with all her strength, until finally, *CRACCCCCCCCKKK!* |

Sarah had found out about Elizabeth and her group's return through the gossip train (because rumor mill just isn't as weird of a saying) and decided to go pay her a visit. Once she had the apartment number, she headed over and knocked on the door to the Elric's apartment. "Halloooooooo?" |

Anyone wandering outside will find a new Edward, Alphonse, and Winry all asleep and leaning against each other on a garden bench with backpacks at their feet.
Ed and Alphonse were both dressed how they would have been if they'd been to Germany. Winry, on the other hand, was wearing a button-up shirt, jeans, and boots. Have fun trying to figure this one out, people.
So, who gets to wake them up and possibly have to deal with a freak out? |

One of the things Ed had not expected to deal with today was a panicking fire-lizard. He'd been at home reading when Tsuri burst into the air with a mental and vocal wail, and she was so confused and frightened that he could barely get anything out of her. But it was clear that whatever it was, it had something to do with Sarah.
Ed wasted no time in running over to his husband-in-law's apartment and banging on the door, one hand keeping Tsuri on his shoulder before she launched herself off in another terrified fit. |

Sarah PINs into her younger husband's apartment, breathing a small sigh of relief to be out of that house. She wouldn't be completely relieved until the rest of her family was back, but...well, regardless of whether she was certain to be rescued one way or another, she is rather glad Dante didn't do more than just order her to a room. Most other possibilities were less than pleasant.
Stepping out into the hall, Tsuri firmly wrapped around her neck, she heads down to the other husband's door and knocks. "Ed, it's me!" |

Tsuri popped out of between onto the apartment grounds with a loud screech, veering straight towards the closest of the 'protector' Edwards while psychically pounding anyone even half-way empathic on the grounds with the psychic equivalent of an airhorn of panic and distress, and a mishmash of images of what just happened. |

Edward has visited a few times, mostly as an observer, something new to break up the monotony of his day.
After about a month, he's long-since heard of the apartments, and debated about moving from his comfortable home outside of Eichstandt to them. On one hand, that would mean he would have to give up his hermit ways to get a job and pay rent. Which did not appeal much to him. On the other, wasting away is not what Alfons would've wanted for him, and even more importantly, the longer he stays hidden in Germany, the higher the chance the National Socialists will find him.
Ultimately, it is this threat that makes him decide, quite rationally, to move to the Nexus. The first thing he did was secure a job. It wasn't bad work, it didn't pay very well, but what he'd heard about the apartments, it didn't have to pay terribly well to cover his expenses. It paid enough.
So he's knocking on the office door now, to secure his place to live. |

Sarah knocks on the door to Apartment 3/4 with a cheery grin and a large casserole dish in hand. She's got a favor to ask, and getting the person in question in a good mood first never hurt, right?
...also she's been watching Food Network way too much the past few weeks. Shush. |

Right after Envy's made his escape but before anyone inside has had a chance to do much of anything of importance like, oh say, letting anyone outside know he's bugged out, Ed gets home from work.
Needless to say, Greed gets his attention rather quickly, as he isn't a usual sight around the apartments. He wasn't expecting Sarah to be outside either, so he heads over to them. "Should I be afraid to ask what's going on?" |

There is an apparent potential new resident surveying the grounds. He's a man in his early to mid twenties, with brown hair, blue eyes, and wearing clothing that could be from anywhere in the 1990's.
After a moment of getting a general layout of the grounds, he heads to the main building and presses the buzzer for the manager's office. |

Well, residents, this is something you never thought you'd see. In the gardens, on one of the benches, is a young man, about twenty-one or so, with short, slicked back brown hair and a pair of glasses. In his lap is an open Bible and wrapped around one hand is a rosary with a shining red stone in the center of the cross. The man has a white collar underneath the collar of his shirt, indicating that he's a priest. Under the collar is evidence of a necklace chain.
So who wants to harass the neighborly priest? |

Sarah PINs in directly from the question area to her apartment, taking several minutes to have a very quiet and very, very needed freak out. After about ten minutes she knocks on the door to her homunculus fiancee's apartment, finally calm enough to hopefully not make him freak out any more than he already will at this news.

At some point during the last few days, a fair amount of snow has built up on the grounds. While there's certain to already be a snowman or two that's been built by the kids, who says the adults (or supposed adults can't want to have a little fun with it, too? It's not like there isn't enough snow on the ground for a possible snowball fight of epic proportions.
Anyway, this is why Ed's lurking about in hiding with a supply of ammunition. Ammunition that just might get aimed at you from his hiding spot behind a random bush.

It had taken a few days to try and figure out how to phrase her new-found information, but Sarah had come up with a...hopefully non-panic-inducing explanation as to how she found this out. She tapes an envelope to the door of apartment 3/4 with 'RENT' written on the front. It does indeed have a check inside for the next month's rent, but there is also a note in there as well, hopefully only to be seen by Edward.

I found out a little more about your heart problem. It looks like there's no mortal way to reverse the damage, since...scar tissue sucks and is a sucky thing. (Yes, this seems pretty damn obvious when writing it out, but apparently there's not even going to be a magical alternative, so.) Obviously seriously more powerful beings would be willing to fix it, but I've been told that that's not where I'm to poke my nose in on your behalf, so I'm letting you know and decide from here.
The two alts that asked for a doll said they'd be willing to help, and considering that the cost of this info changed from a red stone to a home for a cat a dead Al left behind I don't think they want to do something horrible to you in return.

| This is Halloween, everybody make a scene~ |

It's well into October now, month of ghosts and ghouls and other scary things, and Sarah has decided that the apartment complex is in need of some decorations. To get into the spirit, of course! There are of course several small cloth ghosts hanging from any tree branch or awning that Sarah and Tsuri could get to, as well as a few plastic pumpkin decorations sitting out on the front porches to both buildings (the real Jack-o-Lanterns will wait until they won't be rotting by Halloween).
There has, however, been a personal touch to one large decoration hanging from a tree nearest to the front gate. It's a largish cloth doll, crudely stitched together in resemblance to a certain incarnation of a common annoyance to the residents of the buildings, with several wooden spikes jammed into the torso and head of it. The sign hanging about its neck stating 'ROTTING BITCH' was a nice touch, if she does say so herself.
Sarah is sitting on the front porch of the second building at the moment, admiring her handiwork as she and her fire-lizard chow down on some pumpkin bread. Care to comment? |

It's quite a nice day at the apartments--the sun is shining in one of those last remnants of summer that refuse to let fall take over quite yet, but a fresh breeze is still blowing to remind of the coming cooler weather. One might say the perfect day to spend outside with a nice book.
Of course, if one were to wander around to the back porch of a certain combined apartment they might wonder just where that crying was coming from? It sounds young, but it's certainly not a boy's crying--did a young Nexian wander onto the premises?
Oh, and do ignore that green fire-lizard circling around. Nothing to worry about there.

Ed shows up at Sarah's apartment door in mid-morning the day after this thread, knocking on it and hoping she hasn't gone to classes or something already. They had a manager to talk to, even if he had to drag Sarah over to the other's apartment. |
