| Breaking up the tedium |

"Ayaya...I'm so bored. With a capital B, O, R, E, D! There has to be something to do while the news is this slow." Aya says to herself, facedown on her desk. Then she gets an idea. An awful idea. Aya got a wonderful, awful idea. "I know just what I'll do!"
And with that, she got up, and left her apartment, stretching her arms as she did. Then, when she got outside, she took off in a flash, far faster then the eye can follow. She knocked once on the chief's office door, and seemingly vanished without a trace. Oh this is going to be so much fun! |

Sandra led Hohenheim up to the house in the apartment grounds, casting out for the thoughts inside the house. "Looks like everyone's home right now."
She heads up to the door and knocks, then stands back to wait. |

Sometime later in the day, after Alphonse had gotten home and had time to unwind from his day, he and Edward went over to the office.
Ed was the one to knock on the door and open it. "Hi. Uh, I took the time to talk to Al about what had been bugging me and your offer." |

This being the first day with Spring-like temperatures, Ed can be found outside laying on a garden bench; hands behind his head, fingers inter-laced and staring up at the sky.
Things had started creeping in for him to wonder about, hence him being outside to think. With him was Maes curled up on his stomach to sleep. |

Everything had been set up, seats enough for everyone in the apartment, and then some. A special system was set up so that Ed could watch comfortably from the third floor of the temple, two speakers set up, as well as a monitor for him to view. A large stage had been set up on the grounds, and a large projector screen set up. Seems that the first event, the shooting competition would be taking place behind the temple actually, to make room for it. The shooting range was about 100 meters long, with rows of targets at 10, 30, 50, 75, and 100 meters. Contestants could use whatever small arms weapon they wanted, though for the sake of competition, no scopes were allowed.
Nazrin, Kyouko, and Kogasa were at the gates at the top of the steps, welcoming people as they arrived. |

A question had started to present itself to Ed's mind that he finally got curious enough about the answer to to look for one. While he knew that his father would have the answer, he did remember that Envy needed to learn to deal with people better. And considering that the last time they really had any sort of conversation was the party at the beginning of the year, it was probably past time to reach out to him again.
Decision made, Ed ambled over to the second apartment building, checked to see what apartment Envy was actually in that was more specific than 'the third floor', and headed up.
When he reached the door, he paused a moment to brace himself for the probable inevitable cracks about his height, and knocked. |

There's a bunch of small signs around the apartments, and a flyer for the Collective, (Canvasing compliments of Aya) indicating that it's time to sign up for the talent show! Please hop on over to the temple and sign up at the booth at the bottom of the stairs! Ichirin and Nazrin are running the table.

| Apple Trees Are Yay. |

It's a few days into the LOL and by now, the Collective have decided they can trust Ed to behave and not get into too much trouble without supervision. So after extracting a promise from him that he wouldn't leave the grounds, they let him go outside to play without adult supervision although with Maes along to keep a watchful eye out.
Which is why he's climbed an apple tree and is considering if he wants to try eating one to see if it still tastes good even though they're still only about half-grown and aren't even close to changing color. |

Ed leads his now-younger alternate over to the house, juggling bags for a moment to pull out the key and unlock the door and open it. "Hey, could use a little help with the load!" he calls into the house as he steps inside. "C'mon inside, Ed. I just gotta take care of this, then I can explain things more, okay?" |

A small crow lands on the windowsill of the collective's house, and gives a very loud caw. And does this repeatedly. Aya's been given her mission, and nothing's going to stop her. Have fun guys. |

Ed moseys his little kitty way onto the apartment grounds. At first, he was going to go to his house, but then he gets a bright idea and heads over to the office.
He jumps up, scrabbling for a spot on the windowsill and presses his face against the window to meow and look pitiful at Edward. |

After Izumi was done visiting with the Collective, Ed takes her over to the office, loaning her one of Sarah's coats for the trip.
"If he's not the one in there, it'll likely be Riza," he tells her. "He got married to the Riza Hawkeye from his world."
"I see. And all this is his doing?" Izumi says, taking another look around. Now that she has a coat on to keep her warm, she's taking more time to look at her surroundings.
Ed nods. "Yeah. Other people maintain the grounds, but he's the one that set this place up. Next place on the list is a gym so we'll have a place to train when the weather is too nasty out for it to be a good idea to do so outside."
By now, they've reached the office and Ed knocks on the door and opens it; poking his head in to smile brightly at his alternate. "You'll never guess who Sarah brought home." |

Ed's been sitting out on a garden bench for an hour or so, with his knees drawn up to his chest and his forehead resting on them.
There's snow drifting down from the sky, that he ignores and has started creating a thin layer on him. He occasionally shudders, but aside from that, he doesn't move. |

There's a light scattering of snow on the ground only a couple inches deep in contrast to the previous year's heavy snow load.

Momiji Inubashiri stepped out of the portal to Gensoukyou. Nazrin had conveyed the message that Shou had wanted her to act as security while she was out of commission. Nazrin had more to take care of before coming back to the apartments, which left Momiji, (who was quickly released from her duties on the mountain) to meet the landlord on her own. Giving a sigh and making sure she was ready, started walking towards the apartments. Quickly spotting the office before even reaching the grounds, she walks straight towards it and knocks. |

| Moving day for the Collective! |

Moving day was finally here, and Sarah was pretty glad for it. It would be nice to not be tripping over boxes and flailing over what got packed and what didn't and god damnit guys she told you she needed that for tomorrow, and--
Well.
Everyone was here today to get everything hauled over and arranged and fussed at to their liking. Boxes were being piled in a vaguely organized way, hopefully leaving enough room for furniture to get in, and Sarah was very glad her husbands kept at her with her strength training. This was enough hauling to wear out anyone! |

Some time in the morning, after assuring his brother that he wouldn't be gone long, Al headed out onto the grounds to look for the office.
It doesn't take him long and he soon knocks on the door and then waits patiently for a response. The landlord shouldn't have any trouble recognizing the sound of the knock. |

Ed finally reminded his alt that he had been wanting to spar with him, so they had set up a day and time to do it in Ed's usual practice area.
While it is fall, it's still decently warm in the afternoons although the leaves are starting to turn their colors.
Both Eds have been stretching to make sure their muscles are loose and won't cramp up on them.
Ed did one last stretch before looking at the other one. "Ready to get started?" |
