After speaking with Celena down at the sign, Shou takes her into a portal that just conveniently happens to open above the landlord's desk. She looks over at Celena, and smiles, making a gesture to allow her to do the honors of causing heart attacks. |

Shou was growing restless again, and she sighed. She missed some of the frivolty of being a mortal, since she had become a goddess. However, with the holidays coming around, she was absolutely determined to have at least a day or two of freedom from responsibility. And she could think of no one better to spend such a day of irresponsibility with then her friend Sarah.
Of course, She could never simply knock on a door, or call. So, she's going to wait till Sarah's deeply invested in her computer, and pop in on her for a face to face chat. "HI!" |

Everything had been set up, seats enough for everyone in the apartment, and then some. A special system was set up so that Ed could watch comfortably from the third floor of the temple, two speakers set up, as well as a monitor for him to view. A large stage had been set up on the grounds, and a large projector screen set up. Seems that the first event, the shooting competition would be taking place behind the temple actually, to make room for it. The shooting range was about 100 meters long, with rows of targets at 10, 30, 50, 75, and 100 meters. Contestants could use whatever small arms weapon they wanted, though for the sake of competition, no scopes were allowed.
Nazrin, Kyouko, and Kogasa were at the gates at the top of the steps, welcoming people as they arrived. |

Sarah was sitting on one of the garden benches, lost in thought. She had one knee hugged to her chest, and whatever was rattling around in her head didn't seem to be a particularly happy topic. Tsuri trills worriedly from her shoulder, and she absently reaches up to give her a little scritching. |

Aya returned from Amestris, and, after a brief stop at the temple to grab some forms from them on an unrelated matter, headed over towards the office. As she approached, she could hear singing from inside the office. One voice she picked out immediately, and the other was unfamiliar. A woman's voice. But, more importantly, why in the world was the chief singing?
She knocks on the door. |

Shou knocked on the office door, looking a bit upset. Mokou had reported to her what happened at the sign, and this put Shou on edge. Though she was more then capable of dealing with the situation by herself, this is an Elric issue as much as it is security, so she wanted his input on the matter. "Edward? It's Shou." |

Shou had been talking to the gate for a long time, and decided she was going to play santa claus. She knew that Christmas was on the twenty fifth, she just didn't know what month. So she decided just to wing it and give presents anyway. And she had certainly spared no expense in doing so. The first person on her list was of course, the Landlord, because he just loves being bothered.
So, using her new powers, she sticks her head out of the ceiling above him, and looks down, grinning. |

It didn't take long for Kanako to find Her way to the nexus, and from there, even less time to stumble across where She had felt Shou's presence. She had gone to great lengths to hide Her own from Shou. After a moment of watching from a far, She had determined that her target wasn't there. Okay, She can run with this.
As luck would have it, Nazrin was also not present on security at the moment, being over in the clinic to install cameras, ironically.
Kanako looked around the grounds for a moment, standing just along the property line. She was easily an noticeable presence, being 6'3". Wonder who's going to notice Her first. |

| A Quiet Dinner |

Shou had slowly gotten used to living in the nexus, but she knew that it was a home away from home. But she also knew that for at least a few people...it was the only home. She couldn't imagine the pain of losing her entire world, but she couldn't live with not doing anything to try to make them feel at least welcome there. So she headed over to the crayon's apartment, and gave a loud knock, after taking a breath. |

Some time in the morning, after assuring his brother that he wouldn't be gone long, Al headed out onto the grounds to look for the office.
It doesn't take him long and he soon knocks on the door and then waits patiently for a response. The landlord shouldn't have any trouble recognizing the sound of the knock. |

It's raining in the Nexus, a chilly fall rain. There's a woman sitting in the garden, getting thoroughly soaked, but not seeming to notice as she slumped over on the bench. Storme was brooding, and anyone who saw her portal explode with a lack of a world behind it could hardly blame her. Her brother gave up on getting her to come in about an hour again, and Kay and Ari have both worried, but had no luck either in getting her to come in.
Storme likes the water in the rain. It feels healing. But it's not making the knowledge that her dad and all her friends are dead now and it's partially her fault. Nothing the others can say can convince her it wasn't.
Anyone want to question her why she's sitting in the cold rain? |

Donovan had gotten sidetracked trying to get back to the Nexus by another necromancer sticking his evil nose where it didn't belong. That alone didn't take much time, but Donovan had used black magic on the necromancer, and it had gotten to him this time. So he'd had to go reclusive so he didn't hurt anyone while suffering from the corruption.
His conscience was clear now, though, so he finally made his way into the Nexus. He went to the office door and knocked. |

It had been a while since Ed had worked out, so he figured today was as good a day to do so as any.
He started off wearing a shirt but at some point discarded it so it wouldn't get too sweaty. He's been sparring against an imaginary opponent for at least an hour and he's starting to look like he's in need of a breather. |

Shou was a bit more fidgety then normal, and it was showing in her impatient manner of speech. Even talking to Sarah in the garden wasn't calming her much. Nor was the apple she was munching on. Shou paused and stopped at a tree, looking up at the sky.
"...It's so peaceful and quiet right now..." She says offhand to Sarah. Despite the quiet way she speaks, it's easy to pick up that there's some other meaning then just it's face value. |

Ed arrives back on the grounds in a fury, PINing back from the Sign near the landlord's office. He barely resists the urge to just...lash out at something, anything, and get his mind into some form of coherency before going to talk to Edward about this new complication in the Nexus.
If this influx of Envies turns into a trend, he is going to have WORDS with the multiverse.
After a minute or so of standing outside and seething with rage, he goes over to the office and opens the door. "We have a problem." |

Envy's taken in all he can of Nexus downtown, stopping in a bookstore for some how-to manuals for the modern appliances in his apartment. He also has picked up some books on modern science, starting from the 1930's. He walks back onto the grounds, carrying a bag full of books. He looks at the apartment buildings glowing in the dusk, and begins to feel a little empty. He sighs and looks down. His life as he knew it was over. Whether that was a good thing or a bad thing remained to be seen.
He hasn't been happy in decades. Not truly happy. Not like the people he saw around him. He sits down on a bench and looks up at the half-cloudy sky. It was still hot but as a homunculus, he couldn't feel it. He takes out a book, entitled Chaos by James Gleick. He starts reading in the admittedly low light, occasionally looking up to see if there are any passerby. He's supposed to leave everybody alone, but maybe Hohenheim would come by. |

It was only later that afternoon that Shou decided she was going to visit Sarah. Following the landlord's instructions, she found herself to the front door of the building that Sarah was in. Just one obstacle remained.
The door.
After jiggling the handle every which way, and finding no keyhole, she concludes, "The door must be jammed shut."
She stares at it for a moment, before nodding to herself. "If it's jammed shut, then people can't get in and out, so....I'd be helping out if I unjammed it!"
That was all the encouragement she needed to give herself, as she jams her spear in between the door and it's frame, just above the latch. She then pushes with all her strength, until finally, *CRACCCCCCCCKKK!* |

Shou was in a bit of a bind. She didn't really know where to go next, and had little more then the name of Ed to go with. She knew his last name was Elric, but after a glance at the resident's list, that information was as helpful as saying something's over yonder without pointing. After a long sigh, Shou gives up finally, and flops down on a near by bench. It was just a bit much for her mind to handle. Within moments, watching the clouds, her eyes drift shut, and she's soon snoring. |
