| Gate Servants Gain: Get! |

After a few days of answering questions as people thought of them and organizing a day and time that would be best for everyone, it was finally time for the Gate to be summoned.
The Hughes' sent their daughter to one of her friends for a sleepover to keep her out from underfoot and Roy and Riza arrived within the appointed time for their part of things.
Meanwhile, in the Elric's apartment, Winry was also present and was where the initial summoning was going to occur.
"You ready to do this, Brother?" Al asked quietly, petting the Gate Cat.
Ed gave his brother a weak smile and shook his head. "Not really, but I dunno when I'd ever really be ready for this."
"All right." Now Al looked at Winry. "How about you?"
"I'm fine. A little nervous, but nothing more than that," she assured him.
"All right." Al settled his gaze on the cat. "Could you please call them for us?" |

Al had been thinking about certain things off and on, mostly prompted by the Gate Cat still hanging around the apartment, and the recent visit by Winry has solidified things in his mind.
Although first, before he starts making decisions, he wants to information gather. Along with passing on some information that he told his brother that he would.
Which is why he's now at the front door of apartment 3/4, knocking on it. |

Elizabeth had shooed Al over to Russell and Fletcher's apartment, threatening him with hours of girltalk to do it.

Some time in the morning, after assuring his brother that he wouldn't be gone long, Al headed out onto the grounds to look for the office.
It doesn't take him long and he soon knocks on the door and then waits patiently for a response. The landlord shouldn't have any trouble recognizing the sound of the knock. |

Edward has a stealth suit for a few days while his wife and Roy's practice with those guns.
And Edward knows just how to use it.
He suits up in his bedroom and heads off, making his way to building two, where he uses his landlord key to open the door to his homunculus alternate's apartment. This is where she'd been staying, last Edward knew.

Envy tosses and turns in his bed, napping underneath too-heavy-for-the-heat blankets. He is dreaming. He sees the Gate in the dream, and it stares at him, warning him for all he could tell.
The past week was weighing on his mind before he went to bed, tired of thinking. He'd spent the past few hours absorbed in books that could tell him about such strange sciences as time travel and portals through the universes. It had hit him that the Gate was one such portal. When faced with Shou's question about how he'd get his life back, he had no idea how Ed had done it. So he ran to his books, trying to tap into the reserve of his brain that still held out for daredevil experiments, the Nexus and possibly the Gate. If he could find the Gate, maybe what he had heard at the Sign about the Gate could help him. If he could just face it, maybe... but he had no way of summoning it.
He woke after the Gate in his dream slammed shut, almost falling out of bed at the dream-boom of its doors. He got up silently and went outside after making coffee. It was still three in the afternoon, and he lit up a cigarette and sipped the too-strong espresso outside the door of the second building, bleary-eyed in the sunlight. He scanned the grounds, chain-smoking, then let out an audible hiss of frustration. Couldn't he ask somebody about the Gate? Was that allowed?
He was toying with the idea of bothering the landlord, but decided against it. Instead, he leaned against the doorframe, every so often taking out another cigarette, chain-smoking out of stress. |

Sarah had found out about Elizabeth and her group's return through the gossip train (because rumor mill just isn't as weird of a saying) and decided to go pay her a visit. Once she had the apartment number, she headed over and knocked on the door to the Elric's apartment. "Halloooooooo?" |

One of the things Ed had not expected to deal with today was a panicking fire-lizard. He'd been at home reading when Tsuri burst into the air with a mental and vocal wail, and she was so confused and frightened that he could barely get anything out of her. But it was clear that whatever it was, it had something to do with Sarah.
Ed wasted no time in running over to his husband-in-law's apartment and banging on the door, one hand keeping Tsuri on his shoulder before she launched herself off in another terrified fit. |

Tsuri popped out of between onto the apartment grounds with a loud screech, veering straight towards the closest of the 'protector' Edwards while psychically pounding anyone even half-way empathic on the grounds with the psychic equivalent of an airhorn of panic and distress, and a mishmash of images of what just happened. |

The Gatekeeper and Keymaster are here for their regular training session with Sarah. They show up a ways from the door in their normal forms and head for the front door of the second building, buzzing in to her apartment. |

It's well into October now, month of ghosts and ghouls and other scary things, and Sarah has decided that the apartment complex is in need of some decorations. To get into the spirit, of course! There are of course several small cloth ghosts hanging from any tree branch or awning that Sarah and Tsuri could get to, as well as a few plastic pumpkin decorations sitting out on the front porches to both buildings (the real Jack-o-Lanterns will wait until they won't be rotting by Halloween).
There has, however, been a personal touch to one large decoration hanging from a tree nearest to the front gate. It's a largish cloth doll, crudely stitched together in resemblance to a certain incarnation of a common annoyance to the residents of the buildings, with several wooden spikes jammed into the torso and head of it. The sign hanging about its neck stating 'ROTTING BITCH' was a nice touch, if she does say so herself.
Sarah is sitting on the front porch of the second building at the moment, admiring her handiwork as she and her fire-lizard chow down on some pumpkin bread. Care to comment? |
