On her way home from work, Riza PINpointed into the commercial district to pick up a few things before heading home, and on her way, she passed by the sign.
So now she was bringing a dinner guest home. And a horse.
Seeing to arrangements for the horse came first, however, so that meant a stop by the office.
"These two buildings are the apartments. I live in that one over there. This one was the first one built, and the landlord lives here. His office is around this way," Riza said. "That big building back there is new. It's our hospital." |

Edward has visited a few times, mostly as an observer, something new to break up the monotony of his day.
After about a month, he's long-since heard of the apartments, and debated about moving from his comfortable home outside of Eichstandt to them. On one hand, that would mean he would have to give up his hermit ways to get a job and pay rent. Which did not appeal much to him. On the other, wasting away is not what Alfons would've wanted for him, and even more importantly, the longer he stays hidden in Germany, the higher the chance the National Socialists will find him.
Ultimately, it is this threat that makes him decide, quite rationally, to move to the Nexus. The first thing he did was secure a job. It wasn't bad work, it didn't pay very well, but what he'd heard about the apartments, it didn't have to pay terribly well to cover his expenses. It paid enough.
So he's knocking on the office door now, to secure his place to live. |
