WHEN: Early morning
Romeo hated the snow. Snow brought with it cold weather and - Romeo was convinced - a storm of bad luck. After all, snow was just solid enough to sometimes give him flashes. Mostly of the view from just above his head, but then cut short by the snowflake melting on his cheeks. The cold also gave his old injuries plenty of reason to act up, including the scar on his side. It was the pain (and therefore the cold and therefore the snow) that had kept him up most of the night, leading him to bring out his old space heater from his adoptive parents' home. One that appeared to have survived the cataclysm itself. Romeo constantly told himself he'd buy a new unit one of these days but never got around to it. He really, really should have.
