Registration a Success

Only ten days from the first hearings of the Muggleborn Registration Committee, the Ministry is reporting vast progress in their location efforts and due punishment of those pseudo witches and wizards who have obtained magical power by theft or force.
While the numbers of those who are voluntarily reporting for registration remains small, location teams sanctioned by the Ministry of Magic have had much more success in locating fugitives and bringing them to justice. To date, the Committee has convened in hearings on sixty-six possible cases of magical theft. Of those, only seventeen have been found guilty and sentenced to Azkaban.
In better news, a resounding twenty two of the cases have had all fears allayed by genealogical discovers of magical blood in their ancestry, a trend which the Muggleborn Registration Committee believes will continue as more witches and wizards make themselves available to the Committee for their hearings.
