Gotta say that I'm glad I didn't get into bed until late. I missed the mass of feathers exploding around. Gotta say it's pretty funny when I'm not one of the feathered masses.
But on the plus side, I thought I'd share with you what kept me out a little later than normal. Going back down to the hippogriff pens is always a favorite of mine. And my best girl was there and waiting for me. Snowdrop was excited to see me... or at least excited for the meat I had for her. My pretty girl even posed while I got this sketch.

I'm covered in feathers. I'm not one that likes to threaten violence but I want to kill whoever did this. This isn't even funny. You got both Calcifer and Jesterand my dragons with this little prank. I hope whoever did this gets what they deserve.

So, when I was talking about Halloween costume ideas for this year and I jokingly said I should wear a chicken suit, I didn't actually mean it. It's everywhere. And I think I'm actually more annoyed by the glue than I am by the feathers. Even if they are a bit stabby.
I won't threaten with bodily harm, but retaliation is in order.

If it were not so widespread it would seem that being tarred and feathered in my bed was revenge for what transpired in the Gryffindor boy's dorm. Except it seems far more widespread than merely Gryffindor vs. Slytherin.

Curious. It is a most unusual thing to be dreaming about what it would be like to be a bird and have feathers and then waking to find in fact that one does have feathers, even if they are of the glued on sort. I am much less curious about what it would be like to be covered in feathers now.

Let this be a lesson to everyone to always be aware of your surroundings and to always check things over before diving headfirst into them. This time it was relatively harmless, but in the future we may not be as lucky.
