WHAT: General late teenage angst and trying to release baggage
WHERE: In and outside The Kwan House

Danica sighed. This wasn't exactly going how she planned. The phone call from her parents at that party had royally messed her up. She hoped to be getting along with everyone, making friends.. But her temper, her anger towards her parents, got the better of her. It wasn't supposed to be this way.
Where was the good witch, the guardian angel, the knight in shining armor to help her, tell her what to do? Even at this age, she still believed. Demons, unicorns, gods, centaurs... The stuff of fairy tales and legends, and she believed it all with her whole heart. Even as some part of her was rooted in reality, that she was here to train and not make friends, she'd had a lonely 19 years of existence. She wanted... needed... friends. She picked up a card of her nightstand. A farewell-slash-good luck card, signed by everyone from where she had come from. She smiled; it had been so easy there, so why was it so hard now? She'd avoided everyone since the party. Maybe... she really was meant to be alone.
And that killed her.
Frustrated, she decided to leave her dorm. Maybe getting some fresh air would help clear her head and she could make sense of all this. What would a mermaid do, washed up on shore and unsure of what to do? The witch took her voice, yet she made it work in the end, hadn't she? Danica tried to remember, thumbs hooked in the pockets of her jeans as she walked through the halls, moving towards the outside.
