WHO: David, Lindsey, Ana, Grace, Danica, Aiden, Eddie, Kasumi, Nicolas, Jason (that's the posting order so far I believe)
WHEN: Sunday June 28th, 2009 - evening
WHERE: Training Grounds, outdoor
WHAT: Welcoming the new students!
David lingered on the training grounds, watching as everyone that lived on campus bustled around nearby. He shifted, giving a brief glance to Aiden as the older man came up beside him. He hadn't been feeling all that well that morning, but figured that since he'd signed up to attend the party that he may as well be there. He and the other professors had gone through great lengths to make sure there was food, firewood, drinks and somebody to handle the music. They did this every year, but it always seemed to feel so last minute somehow...
Lindsey grinned, shining brightly from head to toe as he helped the bonfire get going, his eyes more gold than blue in accordance to his power. He couldn't really help it when he was as excited as he was; the light just poured out of him. He loved mingling with the new students, making friends with everyone he could.
Standing on the outer edge of the field was Ana, her hair tied back as she watched the other people running around. She wasn't really sure what to do with herself; she'd only unpacked last night and had been invited to this... welcome shin-dig. The school grounds were still fairly foreign to her, as was the amount of training she'd be going through starting on Monday. It was daunting, but she was eager anyway. Everytime she remembered what she was here for her heart started to pound, anxiety rushing through her. "Hi," she said meekly, watching a few unfamiliar faces walk by.
Not that she was anti-social at all, she was a bit of a more quiet person sometimes, and she liked to watch, so Grace was more standing on the sidelines, before noticing her teammate nearby. The new students seemed to make him rather excited - then again, what didn't make him bouncy? Arms crossed over her chest, she walked over calmly to him, slightly tipping her head. "New years are always busy, hm?" She said quietly by his side, watching the new faces.
Blowing some dark hair out of her eyes, Danica moved deeper into the training grounds, thumbs hooked in the belt loops of her jeans. A few people stared; she couldn't blame them. Her appearance was a bit unsual. Pale, freckled skin, black hair, but eyes such an icy blue tone they could almost be white. She didn't know if it was luck or a curse, but she wasn't thinking about that right now either. She was looking over everyone with an almost critical eye, her face serene and unreadable.
Aiden moved close to David, his bright blue eyes looking down at the smaller professor intently, his focus refusing to go elsewhere. Around them students were meandering, active rangers chatting and new trainees looking lost and helpless. "It's a big event this year." He murmured in softly accented english to his husband. "We should make sure none of them do anything foolish."
Eddie stumbled over his own feet as he made his way towards the bon-fire being lit and nearly crashed into a dark haired girl. "Oh! Oh! I... I apologize profusely-- I just.. I'm very clumsy I think." He managed, flushing darkly before noticing Ana -- they worked together at the bar. She was new. He waved her over, hoping to catch her attention, before turning back to the brunette girl he had crashed into. "I hope you're okay..."
Kasumi was just entering the area, feeling a bit out of place but with a determined look on her face. When she saw a blonde girl who looked like she was just as intimidated as she was, she smiled. "Hi," she returned the girl's greeting. "Are you a first year as well?" She pulled her black hair back from her face, twisting it up into a messy ponytail as she looked around. "There are just so many people."
At the same time across the grounds, Nicolas walked over towards the bonfire. He smiled quietly at Grace and Lindsey, waving and fixing his glasses. "Very busy, Grace, but I think he enjoys all the excitement." He shook his head slightly, looking around.
David turned back to his husband when he was spoken to, nodding a few times quietly. "I don't think we have too much to worry about... remember, they don't let in just anyone to this place." It was said with humor, though there was an underlying judgmental tone he couldn't help but let leak out a bit.
"Always," Lindsey agreed, looking up at Grace as she approached him. He was about to say more when one of the students from last year ran into Grace. Shaking his head, Lindsey hurried over as though to facilitate, a hand on Eddie's chest playfully. "Hey there, whoa man, be careful. She's fragile, and you gotta watch yourself better." He grinned wide, his body heat rolling off of him as he stood between the two. "Don't make me have to show you a lesson, man." He snorted a laugh, shooting a look to Nicolas as though to say, 'you know I do.'
Ana smiled a little more warmly as she was addressed by another girl, turning to her. She took in a deep breath to settle her nerves. "Yeah... it's a little intimidating. I just got here last night, actually... I don't even really know where I am." She laughed, but the sound was definitely lighter than she'd meant for it to be.
Grace half caught Eddie, half let him get handled by Lindsey. She didn't smile, but she seemed very calm about the bump, "I'm fine. Be a little more careful next time, clumsy." She answered in a calm tone, before turning her eyes to the blonde man with a slight eyeroll. Fragile, right. With a sigh, she shook her head and gave a crooked smile to Nicolas, "You think?" The smile turned into a soft laugh.
"Well, that's kind of rude." Danica spoke as she appeared next to Eddie and Lindsey, though she was clearly speaking to the latter. "So he's a little clumsy. There's no need to threaten him like that, if you ask me." Hand were on her hips, chin tilted in such a way it could almost be seen as defiant. Normally, she would have minded her business, but the way Lindsey spoke rubbed her the wrong way. After a moment, she looked to Eddie. "Are you okay?" she asked, "That was a bit of a tumble."
Eddie flushed harder, looking around the group of obviously active rangers and made an awkward attempt to brush himself off. "It's... it's okay. Really. I... I think Mr. Roland was just kidding..." He looked at the glowing man apprehensively and then at Danica. "I'm fine-- sorry again..." He apologized uncomfortably and then stepped back from the group, running one hand through his blonde hair and managing a laugh. "I... um... wow. You really glow." He said to Lindsey, stunned by his power. Hopefully his power would be as cool as Lindsey's. Turning to Danica, he gave her somewhat of a quiet smile. "I appreciate your defending me though."
Aiden smiled at David's quiet humor, watching him for a long moment before ruffling his hair. "They come pretty close. Did you ever have Lindsey Roland in your class?" (speaking German)
Kasumi nodded, smiling sympathetically. "Me too. I haven't even really finished unpacking my things yet... I feel like there's too much that has to be done." She held a hand out. "I'm Kasumi. What's your name?" She looked off towards the fire, watching the active rangers with a kind of eager determination. She'd be in that spot in two years, no matter what the training could throw at her.
Nicolas looked around at all the others, his eyes landing on Eddie and Danica with a friendly smile. "Yeah, Lindsey's not that bad. Full of talk sometimes, but we usually forgive him." He laughed a little bit, poking Lindsey's arm. "You gonna compete with the bonfire all night, my friend?"
It wasn’t that he was –trying- to avoid the others, Jason actually had just lost track of time. He cursed softly under his breath as he hobbled down to the bonfire. Actually, it struck him as funny as the professor reached the outer edge of the group, of course the limping guy was late. He limped to David and Aiden, his usual thick, gnarled wood cane poking holes in the ground beside him. “Well, I’m late, but have I missed much?” he asked with a wide grin as he reached the other professors.
Ana smiled and took the hand offered to her. "I'm Ana. It's nice to meet someone else in the same spot... er, well... new." She shrugged, tucked back her hair and followed Kasumi's gaze toward the bonfire. "They seem so confident... I wonder if their first day was like this." She didn't know if they should approach or not, glancing back to Kasumi to see what she would do.
Lindsey held his hands up, backing away from Eddie as though he'd been chased off by a wild animal. "Whoa there," he said, still grining. "I didn't mean nothing by it. I was just playing... just giving him a hard time. It's what I'm here for, right?" To Nicolas he said, "Hey, you guys always forgive me. And yeah, I'm gonna compete as long as I have to." He grunted, balling his hands into fists as he glowed harder for a few moments.
David nodded, not really watching Aiden as he answered him. "Yeah... all of us did," he told his husband, making a face at him. "Remember? They take all the classes, not just the ones they want to." He reached up and brushed some of Aiden's hair into his face, snorting a laugh at him. David looked up, startled when Jason spoke to him. "Oh hello. You haven't missed that much, really." He shrugged and gave a quick look in the direction of the mingling rangers and those that were standing a little bit away from the main group.
"I forgive you occasionally." Grace said, before turning to the girl that had taken Lindsey playtime as an offense, "You should learn to respect your superiors. It will aid you through your school years," she stared at the girl for some time, before going back to Nicolas and Lindsey's conversation. Her eyes took quick notice of Lindsey's glow and she put a hand on his shoulder, squeezing him lightly, "No need for that, Lindsey. We were cadets once too. But we have grown, haven't we?" And she nudged Nicolas discreetly so he'd agree with her.
Danica just looked at Lindsey for a moment, and after observing his attitude, and his glowing, she made her decision. "Annoying," she said simply, turning and approaching Eddie, "I'm glad you're fine. Hey, you're a first year too, right? What's your animal?" She was curious; her animal was terribly normal, and she was worried it was only her. What if everyone else got something fantastic or interesting? She wasn't sure she'd be able to stand it. Not that she had a choice, but... If anything, something was going to prove she was right, that she wasn't crazy or being foolish. That, more than anything, was what Danica wanted: Validation.
"Actually, I'm a second year..." He smiled at her a little, his faded eyes thoughtful. "My animal spirit. Curious question." He was stalling, embarrassed by his strange and seemingly useless animal. "It's... um... well, you know, I stepped onto campus and I thought that I would get something majestic -- something noble and... quick witted, intelligent. Like... I thought I'd get a fox or something clever...." He sighed quietly. "It's... the Unicorn."
Aiden moved into David's affectionate touch, his heart fluttering at the gesture and reached out, catching the smaller man's hand. As he did so a familiar voice sounded from behind his husband and he half turned, grinning a little. He liked Professor Applegate. "Jason." His voice warm, his accent heavy. "Glad you could make it!"
Kasumi nodded a little bit. "They probably had a similar experience, I'd expect." She was quiet, still considering the group seriously for a moment. "A lot of people worked very hard to put them where they are now. Now we're part of it too... So we have to prove to the world that they made the right decision." She blushed suddenly and smiled. "But for today we're supposed to get to know each other. Sorry, I get a little too serious sometimes, I think. Should we go over?"
Nic grinned quietly, shaking his head at Lindsey's slightly ostentatious display. He looked at the new recruits and smiled. "No need to be too hard on her, Grace. They'll learn not to take him too seriously. He just has this little flare for the dramatic that we haven't really been able to break him of yet." He grinned at his friends, then watched as the cadets seemed to turn away from the rest of them. "And yes, I think we've grown, Grace. At least you and I have."
“Oh, I’m glad to have made it.” Looking at the small crowd of active and training rangers, Jason grinned. “The little ones’ first night, and already you’re picking on them?” Jason nodded to David and Aidan before limping his way to the larger group. Reaching the active rangers, Jason lifted his cane and poked Lindsey with it. “You know how it is the first day or so! Don’t joke with them yet my friend, they’re scared of you.” He grinned at his fellows and the trainees. “Hello to you all! Oi! You skulking at the edge!” He moved slowly around Lindsey, patting the ranger on the arm. Jason moved towards the boy and girl standing alone, looking nervous. He thought one looked familiar, but in the dim firelight, wasn’t sure. “Hello!”
"Occasionally is okay by me," Lindsey returned. He'd been about to follow after the new girl when he felt Grace's hand on his shoulder. He stopped and turned to watch her, smirking, his light fading just enough to be a bit more manageable. "Sorry... it's the firefly in me I guess," he joked. At Nicolas's comment he turned to him, eyes wide. "Hey man! I've grown too! Look at how buff I am!" He held up his arms and flexed them, just being ridiculous for the sake of it at this point. It didn't really matter.
Ana nodded to Kasumi, grinning. She thought the other girl was cute, despite getting serious. It was endearing in a way. "Yeah, that sounds great... maybe we can get to know a few more people tonight... maybe hook up with a few more first years or something?" She waved for Kasumi to follow her and headed to the bonfire, zeroing in on the two talking by themselves... something about a unicorn...?
David smirked when Jason hobbled off to terrorize the students and Rangers. It always made him laugh to watch the other professor. "I think he's taking care of them alright," he said to Aiden.
Lindsey made a noise of protest when he was jabbed by a cane, turning to look at Professor Applegate. "Whaaaaat, hey now... I'm not doing nothing, man." Quietly to Grace he mumbled, "They should be afraid of me... I'm dangerous."
"I'm sure it is, Lindsey." Grace patted his shoulder again and then straightened her back when the Professor walked towards them. She had always been a respectful person. Pressing her lips together to stop from laughing or even smirking at his 'dangerous' self, Grace shook her head before tipping it politely at Professor Applegate. Inclining her head to Nicolas, the black ranger crossed her arms again, "Hm, some newbies we got, hey?"
Danica blinked. "Are you kidding?" she asked, her face breaking out into a bright smile, "That's awesome! Oh geez, a unicorn... It has the white hair, right? And the horn? Does it have wings? Wait, that would be a Pegasus. Either way, that is so amazing! Haha, I knew I was right!" She savored her victory for a moment before finally calming down. "Anyways, I suppose it's only fair to tell you mine: Siberian Husky." She groaned softly, crossing her arms. "It's not bad, exactly, but cripes, it's so bloody normal. What am I going to do with that? Bite my enemies?" She turned to greet the professor, but was interrupted by a ringing from her pocket. Pulling out her cellphone, she saw the caller and her face turned even more irritated than it had been with Lindsey - but also, a little sad. "Excuse me," she said quietly, walking away and not speaking on the phone till she was out of earshot.
"I--" Eddie was surprised when she turned away, but nodded and looked back at the group of Active Rangers who had been joined by a professor. "Professor Applegate! It's good to see you!" He greeted cheerfully and then turned to Grace and Nicolas and Lindsey. "So... um... what are your powers then... I've always wondered about yours Lindsey..." He noticed Ana and Kasumi over in the distance and waved at them, not wanting them to feel left out.
Aiden laughed with David, watching Jason move to irritate the students. They deserved it alright. Turning his sights back on David, he reached down to place a firm hand on the back of the smaller man's neck, his thumb caressing lightly. "I know we all had Lindsey, but..." He shook his head and leaned in to kiss David's forehead. "I think he was especially bad for me."
Kasumi followed along after the others, excited to hear that some already had been told their spirit animals already. She was supposed to find out what hers was tomorrow, and she was excited. Maybe she'd be something really cool, like a wolf or a tiger. There were even some less normal animals she'd settle for. "Hi," She said as she and Ana approached. The girl had left just before she spoke, looking like she had a call or something. She focused instead on the other person, waving awkwardly at Eddie.
Nic grinned as Professor Applegate moved past. "Yes, Lindsey. You're terribly dangerous," He agreed drily before nodding to Grace. "They seem a little nervous, really. Were we like that, way back when?" He smiled slightly, putting an arm across the shoulders of each of his teammates. "I wonder if they realize just how much work they're in for."
Jason paused in his attempt to wave everyone over to look at Eddie. “Eddie! I almost missed you. Good to see you again.” Eddie was one of the students he admired, and Jason was glad to see him again. He smiled at the boy before looking again to the girls walking close. They both looked nervous, which made Jason smile more. They had ALL been like that at one time, and frankly, the professor loved seeing new trainees so out of place. “Hello girls. I’m professor Jason Applegate. Since I don’t recognize you, this must be your first year?” He spoke to Ana and Kasumi, leaning on his cane as he did so.
Lindsey smiled at Nicolas, scoping him out quietly. He always looked so damn good in uniform, what the fuck...
He blinked, eyes jumping back up to Eddie when he was spoken to. "Um. I uhhh... I glow and stuff, and like... uh, I can blind people. It's pretty bad-ass." He nodded his head slowly, proud of the ability he'd not had any control over, as though he'd picked it or trained hard for it.
David shrugged, watching the others socialize, amused by them. "Yeah... Lindsey was bad for everyone though, I think... Meditation classes were especially hard for him, I recall." He laughed, curious about the new students, the three faces he hadn't really met yet. He'd see them soon enough.
Ana followed Kasumi, smiling and putting on the most bold look she could find. "Hi! I'm Ana... I'm new." She blinked, making a quick face as she realized everyone probably already knew that. Ugh, oh well. Turning to the older man with a cane, she nodded, chewing at her lip a bit. Were they that obvious? Really? "It is... I've only been here for a day now, actually. I just finished unpacking in my dorm room. It's nice to meet you."
This was certainly getting crowded. Grace kept quiet, watching this gathering. Taking in everyone's faces and names while trying to mantain a low profile - for now; she had chosen not to answer Eddie's question. For some reason, it was far too personal for her. Usually, she didn't really follow the cadets, but she had recognized Eddie's face, since he was a very good student. Yet, she prefered to keep quiet, observing the two new girls and Applegate - that man was a sadist for sure.
"What's your animal spirit?" Eddie asked Lindsey curiously, his gaze vibrant and curious, his hands moving to his pockets as he shifted, a little uncomfortable and nervous with so many people around. "As I said... mine is the unicorn... I have no idea how that will be useful as a ranger... what kind of power I could have..." He smiled at Ana, a little more familiar with her. "It's nice to see you outside of work."
Aiden continued to pet David gently, smiling down at him and then looking to the crowd. "Should we go socialize with them..." They'd always been a little out of place thanks to their sordid hsitory.
Kasumi stood straight as she was addressed by the professor. "Yes, sir," She replied promptly. "I got here early this morning myself. I had a long trip, but I'm glad to be here." She looked around at the rest of the group, especially the full Rangers, just taking everything in eagerly.
Nicolas met Lindsey's eyes for a moment, one eyebrow raised questioningly, before turning to answer Eddie's question as well. He gave a short, almost embarrassed laugh and shrugged. "I kind of got stuck with my spirit's feline grace," he joked. "I literally always land on my feet. I guess it's not so bad, but it's really just kind of a passive power." But then, he was a bit of a passive person, so maybe it fit. He shrugged.
Kasumi made Jason smile, and he chuckled softly at her answer. Well, everyone else seemed busy chatting, so Jason spoke with her. “Wonderful! Please, relax. Tonight is your last day of rest...Then the other professors and I will run you through your paces!” He smiled. “Mind if I ask what your spirit animal is? I’ll be learning that later anyway, I’m your meditation 101 teacher.” Jason shifted some, wincing and glancing at his left leg, the mangled one. “Damnation... I may have to go soon, though I just got here...” The damn wound acted up sometimes, and Jason hated to use medications, so meditation it was!
Ana waved back to Eddie. "I had no idea you were here too..." She blinked, almost disbelieving the fact that she hadn't even really recognized him right away. Wow, seeing him out of uniform... that was weird. She was having a hard time comprehending the fact that her coworker was also training to be a Power Ranger, mostly silent for the time being.
Lindsey listened to everyone else, really not sure what to say at this point. Instead of trying to participate in the conversation, he turned to Grace to harass her, pinching her softly in the side. "You're being quiet," he told her, his voice taking on a very fake authorative tone.
Grace grabbed Lindsey's hand quickly, pulling her hips away from his pinching fingers. "Maybe you should do the same." Grace arched her eyebrows up and let go of his hands, before turning to Eddie and frowning, "Worrying about your power will do you no good. You have to learn how to trust yourself and your spirit before you are given the honour of achieving its power. Talking ill, or mistrusting your spirit, you're only harming yourself.
Eddie looked at her thoughtfully, a little wounded as Lindsey ignored his question. "That is very sound advice, I must say." He replied quietly tugging on the edges of his shirt. "I suppose most of the students worry though. It's only natural."
Kasumi tentatively returned the professor's smile, though all she could provide as answer was a slight shrug. "I haven't had a chance to find out yet, sir. I was told that I will tomorrow, though. I'm really looking forward to it." She spared a slight glance to his leg, nodding when he said he may have to go. "It's nice to meet you, sir, though I'm afraid I was a bit rude and neglected to introduce myself. I'm Kasumi Yamada." She held out her hand slightly, hoping that he wouldn't connect her name with her father's. The Senator was well known for being an adamant supporter-turned-traitor to the cause of returning the Rangers, and she'd pretty much been trying to completely disassociate herself with him.
Nicolas found that he'd somehow drifted back outside the conversation and shrugged, content to listen to the others for a moment. At Eddie's words, he nodded slightly. "Everyone gets nervous," he said quietly, remembering his own years as a cadet. "It'll all turn out all right in the end though. Unicorns were always said to have many mystical powers."
“Good to hear! Well, the spirit animals always fit the person, however odd it may seem at first.” He chuckled, “Don’t be worried if you get something that seems odd or not ‘good’ by general definition.” He shook her hand, nodding. “May I ask if you’re related to the senator? If so, please don’t worry. No one here will think worse of you for it. Or if they try, us smart professors will beat it out of them.” He grinned at the last, banging the end of his cane against the ground. Doing so made him frown and sigh. “Well, when I see you in class, I’ll tell you and the rest about my accident. For now, it was wonderful to meet you, and I need to go rest my dang leg.” He smiled at her and started hobbling away.
“David! Aiden! I must leave, so I command you to join this little shindig, get everyone happy and keep our rangers in line!” Jason winked at them as he walked close and then past the other professors. He didn’t show it, but Jason was nervous as well. Another year of training others, watching them go off and try to protect the world. It always made Jason nervous.
David smiled as Jason passed him. "Yeah, yeah... we will. You go on to bed, Jason. We'll catch up with you tomorrow during lunch, alright?" He watched the other professor as he left, turning back to the Rangers and students. "I guess he's right. We should probably talk to them, shouldn't we?"
Lindsey looked from Nicolas to Eddie, his eyes quickly scanning Kasumi and Ana as well. "Yeah, Nikki is right," he told them, nodding a few times. "It'll all turn out well. No one gets stuck with totally useless powers. Not since I've been here, though."
Grace shook her head, before crossing her arms again and looking at the newbies, a bit more attentively. It seemed that her own training years had been forever ago. With a sigh, she rubbed her temple before pinching the bridge of her nose. Patience really was a virtue around Lindsey - sometimes she wondered if he ever had any self control. Foreseeing a bit of a minor disaster between him and Nic wasn't too far off.
Danica snapped the phone shut with an expert flick of her wrist. Calling after disowning her, after hearing she was a ranger in training, pretending they were sorry so they could share in her glory... No. Never again. As far as she was concerned, she had no parents. Wiping hot tears from her cheeks furiously, she did her best to stop her sniffling, wiping her nose with the handkerchief she got as a gift from the eldery couple she'd lived above till she came here. Once satisfied she didn't look a wreck, Danica took a few deep breaths before going over to where she was, next to Eddie. She was interested in him, due to his animal spirit. "Did I miss much?" she asked, sounding fine, but eyes were red from crying, not easy to hide due to how pale colored they were.
"I'm pretty sure Lindsey is about to be reamed for making up nick-names." Eddie informed Danica and gave Ana a grin. "You look much better without the "Get Some" uniform. Then he flushed, embarrassed. "I--- that didn't come out the way it should have." He stammered, horrified. Turning to Danica quickly, he took in her red eyes. "Are you alright?"
Aiden wrapped one arm around David's shoulders and smiled at him affectionately before nodding at Jason."We will, as you say, keep the fort down."
At the mention of her father, Kasumi visibly stiffened. Well, she couldn't have hidden her past forever, anyway. She nodded once in answer to his question, though she was glad he didn't make a big deal about it. "Thank you, sir. I'll see you in class." She turned back to Ana, assuming a slightly more relaxed attitude. "Ana, will you introduce me to your friend?" She asked curiously. She wanted to meet more of her fellow students. When the other girl came back over, she nodded at her in greeting. "Hi."
"Nikki?!" Nic groaned, putting his face in his hands. "Really, Lindsey, I know you like you're little nicknames, but... Nikki? I'm not a girl, if you hadn't noticed." He gave Grace a pleading look, as if she could talk him out of it, even though really he knew the more he protested the more the nickname was likely to persist. "I thought we were friends, Lindsey." He pouted, staring at the ground. Maybe a guilt trip would work.
"My friend..." Ana blushed a little, glancing from Kasumi to Eddie. The comment about her looking better out of her work uniform was still clinging a little in her memory and she held her hand out toward him to say, "This is Eddie. I work with him at the Get Some restaurant in downtown... He's not a bad guy, no worries." She grinned, feeling a little more relaxed now that they'd started to mingle with some of the others. She glanced over to Danica as well, curious about the reddened look to her eyes. What was that about?
Lindsey rolled his eyes and reached out to pat Nicolas on the shoulder. "Hey man. Of course we're friends. That don't change the nickname any, though. Sorry." The apology was said with false sincerity, and he struggled to keep down his snickering. He really wasn't trying to be mean; nicknames were a sign of affection in most countries. He wondered why Angel Grove had to be so damn stuffy.
David tugged on Aiden's sleeve and dragged him toward the rest of the group. They were supposed to be chaperoning this thing, but so far had done a lousy job of it. He remembered the days he and Aiden were Rangers, off doing battle and saving their country. So many memories; he sighed, hating that they'd had to retire, hating that he'd been deemed no longer capable of performing like he should be able to. It hadn't been fair, and it hadn't been their fault. If Aiden hadn't done what he'd did that day... David knew he wouldn't be alive right now, teaching a new generation of youth to become strong and independent teams of their own.
