| Who: Clementine, Zania, and Jericho Where: Clementine & Zania’s house When: Close to Midnight
Zania’s plan was to go out after midnight, figuring it was the time that most people would be sleeping and least likely to go on a patrol. If tomorrow turned out to be sunny, she might as well make the most of the night. To prepare, she sat by the fire sharpening her machete, humming to herself, the absence of electricity starting to get to her. It wasn’t that she minded not having power-- she’d gotten used to that outside the dome-- but she missed the ability to play music.
Clementine had been dozing on the couch, as near the fire as she could be and under a big bunch of blankets to stay warm. She'd only been snoozing lightly, though, so after a few moments of Zania there sharpening her weapon, Clem was awake and slowly watching her. "What's the haps, Doc?" She asked, a yawn in her voice as she shifted a little to get a better look at Zania. "Where you headed?" ( more ) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Who: Clementine and Frankie When: Afternoon Where: Clementine’s
Despite the weather sucking, Frankie was working fairly hard and efficiently throughout the morning. Once she finished, she grabbed a quick bite to eat and then showered, washing the muck and mud from her body. After changing into a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt, Frankie pulled on her boots, got her dirty work clothes in the wash and then grabbed an umbrella to head out with a tin canister in her hand. The rain wasn’t as bad as the day before, but it was still miserable outside, and with the power still out, Frankie didn’t want to spend her day holed up in her room, reading or writing by candle light. The crappy weather was at least allowing her to catch up some with the people she knew and liked in the dome. Maggie had cut her hair before, and Frankie had been able to see Gin for a bit before the barn dance. She might have run by the pub to say hi to Lochlan, or any of the O’Reilly’s, really, but with the power out, she figured they were still closed.
So she ended up at Clementine’s, hopping onto the porch and lowering the umbrella so she could knock. She had no idea if Clementine was actually home, but if not, she figured she could just leave the canister in front of the door for her.

| Who: Clementine and Skylar Where: Skylar's house When: morning
Clementine didn’t want to be doing this. What with everything between them, she didn’t exactly want to be scoping out Skylar right now but she felt compelled to make sure he was alright, after a night like last night. She was worried he would have gone out there to make sure the plants were fine and somehow not gotten back inside. Whatever it was, Clementine was now facing down his door, deciding whether or not to knock on it when her hand just reached out and made the sound for her.

| Who: Justin and Clementine When: Morning Where: Eatzy’s
The breakfast rush was not so much a rush that morning as it was a slow trickle of people. One of his waitresses had been sick, so Justin was behind the counter, taking a few orders and pouring coffee. He didn’t mind it so much as he did the weather. It was cloudy and the wind was ridiculous, which he knew would keep people inside. If it began to storm, which he was starting to think it might, that meant lunch was going to be just as dead as well.
With only one person at the end of the counter eating a plate of pancakes, Justin had a cup of coffee at the other end, leaning against it casually as he glanced over the schedule for the rest of the day and into the evening. He needed to leave for a few hours, at least, so he was hoping the rest of his staff would show up so he wouldn’t have to lock up. He was already losing money, thanks to the damn, unpredictable weather.

| Who: Clementine and Skylar Where: Clementine’s house When: evening
Skylar left Nic and despite the residual high he wandered back to his house to shower and change clothes before heading to Clementine’s. Once he got to her house there was a clear hesitation on the porch, not knocking right away because he wasn’t sure how to go about things. Or what he would say. For a good few minutes he stood there, trying to decide and eventually he gave up, knocking anyway and hoping she was home.

| Who: Zania and Clementine Where: Their House When: Afternoon
When Zania finally got up, she pulled Lance into the shower with her, enjoying his company for a while longer before sending him on his way. She had a few things to do before the the hoe down that night, priority number one being baking something for everyone to enjoy. To get herself in the mood, she pulled on her cowboy boots and headed into the kitchen, dancing around the music as she began work on a blackberry cobbler. It had been a good day so far, one of the best in recent weeks, and there was little that could bring her down.

| Who: Clementine and Lance Where: Clementine and Zania’s house When: late evening
Lance waited until Kenzie was in the shower before heading out and onto the porch nextdoor. There wasn’t any immediate noise that could be heard inside from the front door so he did as he’d planned and picked the lock to let himself inside. He was quiet as he could be at least until he stepped on a creaky floorboard.

| Who: Kenzie and Clementine When: Late afternoon Where: Clementine’s house
It was a bit of a last minute, vague decision to end up at Clementine’s house. The day was decent, and she had nothing else to do until later. There was the fact that maybe she was mildly perturbed at Clementine for the whole Skylar thing, but Kenzie was often perturbed when something was taken away from her without her knowledge. Now she sat sideways on the top step of the porch, smoking a cigarette and contemplating things. Kenzie hadn’t decided yet whether or not she wanted to knock, but it wasn’t like she was feeling rushed. For all she knew, Skylar was inside, which would have probably been kind of funny. But for now, Kenzie was comfortable and letting her mind wander, so she only spared a glance at Clementine’s door. If the other woman was home, maybe she would come outside soon anyway and Kenzie wouldn’t have to move.
Which was accurate, because Clementine had been on her way out the door. She had a couple errands to run and she figured she might as well get them done before nightfall, but she was pulled up short when she opened her door and saw Kenzie there. And instantly she felt strange. Normally she was happy to see Kenzie, but after the talk with Skylar and the decisions that had been made, Clementine now felt a little awkward. Mostly because she still couldn't get the image of them making out to leave her mind. "…Hey. I'm sorry, I didn't hear you knock."

| Who: Skylar and Clementine Where: Clementine's house When: afternoon
Skylar had a plan to stay awake and wait for Clementine, but that didn’t go so well. Between the blood loss and not really sleeping he found himself curled up on her couch, laying on his side, pillow clenched against his chest.
Clementine hadn’t expected to see Skylar when she’d come home but there he was, on the couch in her house. After their run-in at his booth, she hadn’t thought he’d come to see her. But there he was and she didn’t really know what to do right now. Why was he asleep on her couch? Confused, Clementine sidestepped him and went to the kitchen, pouring two cups of water while she tried to make sense of this. She came back and put one down on the table near him, debating whether or not to speak to him. After a long, long moment, she cleared her throat and waited to see if that took. | Who: Mannix and Clementine Where: Clementine’s House When: Late Afternoon
Once Jack was home from the hospital, Mannix fell into bed, sleeping away most of the day. He woke to the sound of rain, always a pleasant sound, as it meant he wasn’t stuck in the house quite as long as usual. Plus, he just liked the rain. It wouldn’t be the first time he wandered over to Clementine’s during a storm, but at least this time he took an umbrella, thinking maybe she might enjoy the company. If Zania was around, he could tell her about the new things he’d learned about their blood, but really he just wanted to get out of the house. Mannix knocked on the door and waited, hoping someone might be home.

| Who: Zania, Clementine, and Skylar Where: Zan & Clem's House When: Pre-Dawn
It had been a long, quiet night, the kind Zania didn’t need when she was in a bad mood, because it meant she just sat around and stewed on the issue. She had no more answers today than she’d had yesterday, or would likely have tomorrow, but it was hard to get her mind off Mickey. Plus, she was getting hungry, and she was officially out of blood. It wasn’t a good way to start the day, though sleep was first on her list as she crept into the house just before dawn. If she’d been human, she might have missed the couple on the couch, but two heartbeats had to be investigated. She tip-toed towards them and smiled, not wanting to wake them. Why hadn’t they made it to the bed? It would have been much more comfortable for two.
