I am at a loss of what I can do in this realm. Were I home in Asgard I would have my lessons in books and in combat but the tomes and tutors from home are not here.

I have noticed a fair number of new arrivals, recently, so it seems wise to offer some information, in case it was not already offered. I should have said something sooner. I

There is a facility for the teaching, practicing, and researching of subjects related to magic. It is protected from outside view, the threats of this place, and warded against both those with ill intentions and against accidental magical "spillage". There are further protections in place, as well. It is at [address], and it is open to anyone who meets the parameters - and while some areas are restricted, many areas are accessible by those who do not have access to magic, as well, if you wish to simply learn more about it. If you need a space or supplies for a specific spell, or to teach lessons, or something of that nature, I can make the arrangements for you.

Secondly, given the nature of this place and those who often arrive here, it seems wise to mention that I - and very likely a few others, if they choose to offer - can magically imprint the anti-possession tattoo without causing damage to skin, or any pain. This is ideal for those who cannot be harmed by traditional needles, or are too young to acquire one in that manner by a licensed "tattoo artist" from this world. If you are sensitive to magic, however, I would not advise it.

Control is something that I'm realizing I don't always manage. I've gotten better at it, but I've also managed to catch blankets on fire in my sleep a couple of times. So, if anyone has any tips about control I'd definitely appreciate it.

What do you do when you thought you saw good in someone that others couldn't, and then they do something that seems to just prove everyone else right?

I am sorry I did not return immediately. I know you would have preferred that I had, but it would not have been wise. Upon my return, I seem to have broken barriers in my mind that are ordinarily in place to keep order, and the overflow is painf upsetting for anyone able to sense it. I suspect that the desperation pani heightened stress I was under combined with my lack of magic was to blame. My attempts to access it in the other reality were more zealous than they needed to be, and that carried over into this world upon my resurrection.

I have managed to contain the worst of the damage, and should be able to place containment spells around myself at night to keep the rest from having a negative effect. I will be rebuilding everything as quickly as possible.

Mother, Davina - if either of you continue to be bothered by the remnants, do not hesitate to tell me. Please.

I will also be adding further wards to the house as soon as I have rested. If you wish to bring guests inside the grounds, I - or Mother - will have to remove a specific layer or add them into it.
