[Anyone who happened to be near the lake very late at night might have seen something like an isolated fog bank emerge from the lake. It didn't move much like fog, and it was dark, like a thick cloud of smoke, but it disappeared quickly enough. Descriptions do bring to mind the recent destruction of a house in the woods, but there was no damage of any kind, this time.

Following the odd and unusual fog, a burst of white light illuminated the entirety of the town. It was as if it was a bright summer day, with the light being as pure and white as the whitest of whites. The burst of light lasted under a minute, and then it faded with a warm glow that returned the night sky to its normal darkness.]
