[At the end of the evening, when the curators for the book showing come around with their boxes and crates, the books return their visitors to their own lives.

Endings are sometimes abrupt, sometimes peaceful, and readers find themselves on familiar footing once more and scattered within the confines of the Repose rec center. The lights are low now and the din is muted, and the doors stand open out into the Repose night. Beyond, safely away from the precious books, drinks await on tables for parched travelers and lanterns light the cool night and cast glow on chairs and blankets strewn about for those needing a moment to recover themselves. The books slumber.]
