[This isn't an everyday occurrence. It's not the regular ghosts wandering halls or knocking silverware off tables. It's not the nightly haunts opening curtains with a giggle, or pulling down blankets with a titter. This is angry. The regular B&B ghosts don't even seem present, as if they know better than to make themselves known.

This is deliberate. On the second floor, between rooms 10 and 14. People are tripped at the edge of the stairs. The water in the bathroom there turns to scalding. The mirrors shatter when men speak. This is a warning, and it lasts a day.]

In his place, a not-so-new scientist returns. With no explanation given about where she's been, Naila returns to work without damaging the subjects. Indeed, everyone from the subjects to her co-workers seem to be pleased by the change.]
