At Pax Letale, an awakening has begun. As these gods rediscover themselves and each other, the seemingly invisible but ubiquitous management tracks each of them quite closely, and the very building itself seems to have an agenda of its own. And as the gods made humans in their own image - or humans made them in theirs - so will the the behavior of the people of Pax turn as dark as their deities. Blood, strife, sex, petty plots, torture - even murder will wind their ways into Pax Letale.

Just so you know, I just kicked off peach-inspired baked goods at the shop! :) There are tarts and cupcakes! Let me know if you like any of them I'll keep them stocked for you.

So I stopped to get a muffin from your shop for breakfast this morning. I thought it was just a regular strawberry muffin, but when I bit into it there was a freaking EXPLOSION of berry goodness inside! It was delicious! I wanted to go back and get another, but I was too busy at work!

Look, consider this extra doctor training, but I need you to check my vitals or maybe just my blood pressure. I could have sworn I just saw a giant head in my closet and Lucas, that is exactly the complete opposite of what I need to see when I open the closet door.

No pun intended. Help out an old friend? I'm too young to be losing my sanity.

There's beer and science this Thursday at the Angel City Brewery. Do you think you can step away from your patients long enough to have a few drinks with me? 6 p.m. sharp, by the way. If you're coming, don't be late. :]

So this is how we introduce ourselves here? Alright I can dig it.

Hey, I'm Vinnie, I just moved into 108, and I own that old pickup outside. It has to stay parked for a while, so if I need to move it out of the way I will don't see how though, it's already pretty far from the building. Don't worry about any freaky flute music you might hear during the day, that's me practicing. I'll try to keep it for daylight hours, so if you hear it at night then you might wanna consider being freaked out because that's not me.

So, have a nice day, looking forward to meeting more of you.

[prior to noticing BB's update, he'd written this message. deciding that it couldn't hurt to spread the news far and wide, he posted it on the apartment forums regardless of whatever BB would have to say. unfortunately, times were dire, and his worry meter--because, believe it or not, Percy could indeed be worried--was off the charts.]

This is a public announcement for anyone that may be concerned. There is a burglar among us, and they have ransacked not only my home, but stolen my pet box turtle. I have already notified the complex manager of this crime.

If anyone happens to come across a box turtle that isn't fully grown but will, regardless, crawl towards you for a bite of strawberry, let me know ASAP. She answers to Stella. Yell too loud for her, though, and she might hide inside her shell.

No one steals from me.

Uh, so. Not sure how to go about this, but. Yeah. I'm new here. Like who isn't moving to California these days? My name's Augustus, but you can call me Gus. I go to UCLA. That's about it. Anyone hiring? I need cash. Now.

My sister isn't answering her phone. So. That's a problem. She lives here? Her name's Brittany. If anyone knows her, tell her to call Gus.

Thanks.

Hi!

I'm new in the building and I was told this was a great way to network with my neighbours! I'm Lucas, I just moved in (still unpacking, boxes everywhere!) I'm definitely up to meeting some of my neighbours, though I may have to entertain with paper cups of instant coffee for now until I get settled. I'm up in 1003 with far more room than I need, but gosh it's a great view!

So, if you haven't noticed yet, there is currently a 30-ft  horse trailer parked catty-cornered across the drive.  It may be blocking some cars from getting out.

It's mine.  I call her the Monster.

What you don't realize is that rather bedraggled-looking trailer contains all of my worldly belongings, including a lot of boxes.  One of those boxes is full to bursting with packing peanuts, which are in turn carefully swaddling a bottle of Borgogno Barolo Riserva 1955, a bottle of Jean Grosperrin 1958, and a selection of midwestern beers and wines.  Whoever unpacks that box gets to keep it, and I'll provide for any other brave volunteers from the rest of my supply.

That's right, I'm bribing people to help me unpack in the middle of the night with fine booze.  And possibly pizza.  Is there a place with reasonably unburnt crusts that delivers around here?

If you want to take me up on the offer, I'll be the fellow lugging boxes up to 507. And furniture too, if nobody responds to my siren call of pizza, booze, and not being able to drive their car in the morning.

Sorry about that.  It was the only place I could park her.  Also, hello.

Dated Friday, August 12, 2011:

Going to Vegas for a couple days for work.. If anyone needs to reach me, text me at z luc haust on AIM. It's usually on my BlackBerry, which is always on me. You know, if I get robbed or anything. Or the complex burns down. I dunno. Or if you want pictures. I can do that too. Even if it would be considered evidence.. It's whatever. Back soon. Be good, boys and girls.

This is more of a public announcement with a hello from a new neighbor tacked on, but I'm sure everyone will read it the same regardless.

Everyone with a residence here is welcome to a handful of drinks on the house at CASKET. [ Directions to listed here ]. I certainly hope to see some new faces over at the club, wouldn't hurt to breathe a little life into it, not that it's suffering!

And as for hellos, I'm Julian Veilleux, occupant of 407. By all means, stop by and say hello if you have the chance. More often than not I might be out, though; unfortunately my business doesn't run itself. The day it does that, I'll be out of a passion, hah! Oh also: anyone in here play anything? Always looking for new blood for the stage, I like to keep things interesting for my patrons.

I think that's about it. Nice building you've got here, I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay.

So hi! I'm Lucy and I just moved in! It's always nice to introduce yourself to new people, so here I am! I've met some of you, of course. Hi Luc! There's another guy, too! He doesn't like stairs though, and I think baseball confuses him. I hope you all are nice to him. He's very polite. I can't remember what his name was. Hm.

I'm not very good at this. I don't know what else to say! Is this long enough? I hope so.

Oh, hey there. I'm the new guy in D1. And I actually had a question.

Does anyone know what Pax Letale's policy on pets is?

I guess I should make a better introduction than that.

I'm Luc Haust. I'm 27, an Aquarius, and a professional songwriter. I was born in Reno, Nevada and spent ten years on Lake Tahoe, but then my parents moved to Los Angeles and I've spent the good majority of my life there. I lived in Las Vegas for awhile, but that was kind of just a really extended vacation. I was a dancer in the Los Angeles Contemporary Dance Company for awhile, but that was when I was younger and much more flexible. Hahaha. I still dance, but now it's just for fun.

I lost the love of my life to illness about six months ago. I guess that's why I moved here, because our old place just had too many memories of that.

I like to cook (mostly because I like to eat), I like throwing parties, I love going out, and I like my whiskey neat. For those who aren't familiar with that terminology, it's just a bar term for straight-up. I like my friends neat too. On both levels. I am also a living cliche for saying that I like long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners too, but it wouldn't be a cliche if there weren't people who enjoyed those kind of things.

I'm really bad at this whole thing, so I'd better go before my foot leaps into my mouth. I'll be home for the next couple days getting settled in, so if anyone wants to come help me unpack - well, I'd offer to pay you but that makes it seem like a bribe. Haha. Though I'm not opposed to bribes (I happen to enjoy being bribed, but that could just be me), and I have quite an extensive collection of alcohol and stuff to smoke if anyone is so inclined.

I did not just do that. Jesus H.

Luc.

OH, AND PS: The rumors are true, I will be throwing a moving-in party - though it will technically be a moved-in party, because I can't exactly have a party in my apartment with how it looks right now. But soon. And you are all invited, should you choose to attend. But, believe me, it'll be worth it if you do..
