( Although it was still fuzzy, Al was pretty sure he'd asked to be returned close to his parents but far enough away that he could get his bearings before showing up on their doorstep. The distance, it seemed, was just what he'd had in mind. Getting his bearings, however, was apparently going to take a lot longer than he'd expected, and he'd missed his family too much to wait any longer. )
