Thank you to the individuals who have already made donations to Uplift!
For those who are unaware the Uplift Foundation aims to create an equal playing field and sustain a vital, prosperous community where justice and opportunity are extended to everyone. We are a newer organization that has risen out of the "pink movement" on the pitch. I am happy to speak about agenda in more detail, but certainly do expect to keep hearing more from us.
With these funds we have officially hired on legal counsel, and a public relations manager. Next we are hoping to get a lobbyist. As we continue to set our political agenda we do welcome your ongoing donations, and certainly hope to see more people in neon pink around the community.
In non political related news, I am eagerly looking forward to the Annual Broom Race next month. In preparation for such, I do apologize for my new default state of constant eating. Between quid and race training, there is too great a calorie deficit. And tempting as it would be to make the most of the sales on sweets today those are not the types of calories I need.
In case anyone was curious about a day of eating in the life:
What I ate on Tuesday
Oatmeal with milk and a banana
Whole grain bread with olive oil and tomato
Juice
Coffee
Eggs, brown beans, grilled mushrooms and tomatoes
Granola
Pasta with bolognese
Mixed side salad
Granola with milk
Apple and peanut butter
Grilled chicken, large sweet potato
Large portion of vegetables
Bagel with peanut butter
Yogurt with banana
Granola bar and tea
Plus a protein shake after morning and afternoon training sessions
Overall, about a solid 6000+ kcal. Which includes lots and lots of water. Never let anyone tell you that the life of a professional athlete is glamorous.
