I won't be in the office today or probably tomorrow because I was injured in an unfortunate accident this weekend and was kept for observation at St Mungo's overnight last night. Something bit me and I lost enough blood that I've been told to stay home and rest for another twenty-four hours.

I should come in Wednesday and if nothing else, I'll be taking things home to work on. I'll have a follow-up next week but the expectation is that there will be no long-term consequences.

Your brother came in on Sunday to help deal with my little biting problem. I know he's getting paid for it one way or another, but what would be a good thank-you gift for him?

I don't have any direct connections to Justin Finch-Fletchley myself but I know he's good friends and a former dormmate of my cousin Ernie, who's at Macmillan Park. I know he's routed some post there in the past because there was a concern about him getting howlers and Ernie thought he'd be better at handling them than Justin's family or some such. I may have casual contact with him through Ernie. I don't expect that he'll ask me much about the quidditch side of things, but on the other hand, I technically own shares of Montrose and I did work as team admin for a number of years. Anyroad, I thought I should mention it.

I'm being released today from Mungo's and have been told to come back to Artefact Accidents for a routine follow-up next week. They told me to rest tomorrow and I'm going to try to go in to work on Wednesday.

... Everyone does know I was in hospital, right? Someone did tell Maddie and Kes? I got bit by an angry book but I'm all right now other than a surprising lot of blood spent and needing a lot of blood replenishing potion. And food. Anyroad, I'm going back to the Manor and Lufu will be feeding me and taking care of me, so don't worry about me.
