Anyone have a good tailor they can recommend? My mum decided I needed a new suit, so she gifted me some lovely fabric. But her seamstress is a Muggle, and so asking her to sew something up with a wand pocket and other adjustments would probably be inadvisable. Also, well, I prefer the wizard styling to the Muggle styling—they're much better at adding warming charms, for one. What Mum doesn't know won't hurt her, in this case.

(And if you tell her, Rani, it will not be pretty.)

[Female teammates and friends]

I need advice! If I can find someone to sew it up in time, I'm planning to wear this on my Valentine's Day date. Assuming I have one. I'm mostly sure Which means I need to choose how I want it sewn up.

I can't make up my mind! Here's some options I've clipped. Help?

How's your friend's cat situation? Has she managed to coax it into a carrier yet?

[Roger]

Happy birthday!!!

Flitney's last-second score brought Wimbourne into striking range and Fofana stung the cats at the bell... )

I treated myself to the Catapults match on my final day of single-job freedom and now I may never forgive Fofana, but I suppose that's something we'll just all have to learn to live with.

[...] And does anyone have a spare litter box for a small cat? Do litter boxes even have si I can't believe I'm allowing an animal to shite in my wa I only need to borrow it for a week or so.

PORTREE PLAYERS [NO OTHER STAFF]
You're about to enter a [...] trying week. Aye, I'm aware that each of you is a professional, but that doesn't shield you from overexertion.
  1. When you get home at night, sleep instead of party. Doze when you can.
  2. Drink as much water as you c plenty of water. You have no excuse not to.
  3. Don't drink alcohol (it's one week. You'll survive.)
  4. Eat well — your body will need the fuel. I've given a list o asked the cooks to ensure there will be more smaller, nutritious meals and snacks for when you don't have the time for a complete meal, and MacFusty and I have arranged that there's always a hearty lunch waiting for you.
[#5 is added after Lorna's reply:]
  5. Please don't die.
Beginning tomorrow I'll be picking up some evening shifts at St. Mungo's, but I'll still be at the clubhouse during office hours if you need anything, as well as attending the late practices. If you think you're ill or overextending yourself, or if you have any questions, please come speak with me. I'd prefer to help you avoid injury than experience it first-hand. This goes for the regular season as well.

PORTREE MANAGEMENT
Parkinson's been a model player as far as his healing but I'm not keen on the idea of him playing the Harpies on the 20th after his concussion. MacFusty and Roberts have the report; my recommendation is to bench him. If all goes well he'll be back in the air in time to train for the match against my the Catapults.

ALEC URQUART
I met the Bulgarian, no thanks to you.

Oh, and... 🎶 I know something you don't know... 🎶

AUGUSTUS PYE
The Thing came back the very next day.
The Thing came back, I hoped it was a goner,
But The Thing came back; it just wouldn't stay awaaa-aaaay.

"But Maggie," I hear you insist, "Just take it back to the shelter!"

I did.

JUSTIN FINCH-FLETCHLEY
The tribe has spoken. [...] Well, the gran has.

Always great when the rankings finally reflect what you know your team deserves.

{Montrose +(Team/Staff/Ownership/Whoever else would be CCed in}
[OOC: Spellotaped is the Prophet’s Bloc 8 standings]

Congrats team and all the staff, you’ve done wonderfully. I know many teams with less upheaval have written off this season as a rebuilding one. But I haven’t, and I can tell none of you have. It’s a big achievement to climb to the top of the rankings by this point and you deserve all the credit. So after practice today we’ll have a little celebration in the club rooms to mark the occasion.

[Montrose Team/Staff]
Now that we’ve reached the top, the bigger challenge will be staying there. So while the Chudley bloc might not be a challenge in and of itself, it is an opportunity. Every new or experimental play we even considered trying? That’s what we’re pulling out. Time to challenge you lot in the one bloc where you won’t get that.

Just so you know ahead of time: Chasers, Jason will be resting this bloc and Maddock will be running things in the air for the chasers and the team (because Micah is getting a break too). Kenna and Ada, you’ll be up for this one. And I have plans for making a list of challenges for anyone playing the Cannons match so watch out for that list when it gets closer.

We’ll also be working on our endurance, if you haven’t noticed by the way it’s sneaking into this week’s practices. Now we’re one of the teams that has had the most air time in the league but I thought we’d push that. This is the one bloc where I don’t have to worry too much about any of you playing a bit worn down so this will be tough and I’ll be running you into the ground to really test you.

On the 5th, clear all your plans. In fact I’d do so for the 6th too if I were you. We’ll be doing The Endurance Challenge. More information on the day. But when I mean clear your plans, I do mean clear. Make arrangements because I don’t even guarantee sleep that day.

[Gabi]
[Prophet standings spellotaped for her too!]

How’s the trip been?
