Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mark feels antsy.

He's been Here almost a year now. Which makes it almost fall, Here time. Never a good time of year for him.

Though despite everything, it isn't so bad for him right now. Yeah, he's stuck Here, but he has Roger, Mimi and Angel. And Abby, he adds, and can't help smiling. Mark really likes her.

Maybe this fall won't be so bad.

Harvest (Abby Sciuto and OTA)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Abby Sciuto and OTA.
Where: The Greenhouse of Here.
When: Daylight. That leaves it nice and open.
What: Tomatoes, of course.

[[ OOC: And Slow-Time, folks, life being the way it is these days...]]

It was nearing the end of the season for Abby's valiant tomato plants, and she was picking what would be the close-to-last batch. She had a basket, about medium sized, because she only had six plants, after all. They'd done really well, though, and it made her very happy.

And she wasn't wearing black today. She'd opted for red - one of her other favourite colors - and she thought it was appropriate, because of the colour of the tomatoes.

"We match!" she'd told them upon her arrival. The plants hadn't objected to the statement, so she continued to talk to them while she picked them, about photosynthesis and biology and cross-breeding and this guy named Mark.

Anyone coming across her would possibly think she'd gone crazy, but if they knew her, they wouldn't be worried.

OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Kara was struggling to fill all the spare time being Here had given them. There was only so many times she could run around the lake, or spend time in the gym. So she'd just wander around the grounds, and residence. And today, she'd been drawn to the music room. She was sitting at the piano, running her hands along the keys.

She started to play, slowly remembering the notes.

"You ready, honey? One, two, three..."

Four-year-old Kara carefully hit the keys as he did, copying her father's movements, but at first she was too slow. He slowed too, letting her catch up, and smiling down at her.

"Perfect! You'll be better than me in a few years."

Kara beamed. "Can I come on tour with you then?"

His face softened. "You don't want to honey. You'd be bored. And you'd miss your mom."

Kara shook her head. "No I wouldn't," she vowed. Her dad had laughed, but Kara didn't get what was funny.

She played the song, lost in thought. She hadn't progressed much since she was young. Once she lost the hope that her dad would let her come along with him, that he was ever going to come back, it had seemed pointless.

After a few minutes she stopped, lifted her right hand and flexed her fingers, rubbing them as they cracked, trying to ease the dull ache. That injury hadn't helped her musical career, either.

She shook herself. Being Here really did give her too much time on her hands if she was thinking about all of this crap. She couldn't seem to pull away from the piano, though, and started playing again, slow and methodical.

In the Library [open]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Elaine is in the Library, reading a treatise written in her time about pregnancy. She has finally started to show a little bit, her belly now nicely rounded in the front--though only a little.

Still, it's enough to pat and sometimes talk to when she is alone. She is viewing the changes in her body with curiosity and fascination: how warm she seems to be sometimes, how everything seems to be changing and softening. How hungry she sometimes is, and how even her hair seems to be changing. So much change.

It's all becoming very real, and it's wonderful and a little terrifying too...and sometimes she wishes that she had another woman around who was more experienced in this than she was.

Lizzie Bennett OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Lizzie was adjusting, a little bit everyday and it had taken her a while to get used to being away from Jane especially.

She had taken to keeping a journal and noted down new things that she had learnt in it. She was reviewing this over tea and sandwiches in the pantry.

Lizzie chewed thoughtfully on the end of her pencil.

LAKE PARTY!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
For a dorky teen aged kid, Bobby has managed to set up quite an interesting array of stuff for the party (with the help of Residence staff members).

Let's get this party started! )

[[ooc: Regular party etiquette, all are welcome, thread hop, post in in several places to get the max amount of tags and fun out of it all!]]

Mallory is standing on her head.

She is in the gym, finished with her workout, and has moved on to yoga and is now balanced in a perfectly straight headstand, hoping the the extra blood to her head or the different perspective will give her some insight. After a two day confinement with Presto, she was thinking that something wasn't quite...right. With him, with them, maybe with her...she wasn't sure.

But something was just...off.

Hmmm. Feel free to bug her.

Derek Shepherd - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Derek sat in Tea Leaves with a cup of coffee before him. He was glad of the Clinic as it gave him something to do but he still didn't know how to fill all his free hours. He took a sip of his coffee, sat back in the chair and thought about Martha and whether he should go ask her if she wanted to go for another swim, or a walk or something.

"I'm fine, really..." - Abby & The Clinic - Open to Clinic Personnel

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Abby Sciuto and Any Clinic Personnel
Where: The Clinic (lol!)
Why: Because it's a good idea to be checked by a medical professional...
When: She's there now, but I might be slow in tagging, as usual...
Rating: Uh, dunno...? PG-13? Body parts might be mentioned...
Summary: Abby does the Right Thing and makes sure she's healthy.

Abby entered the Clinic and found a seat. There was a clipboard there, with a pen and papers attached, asking for personal information like name - Abby Sciuto - and address - she smirked as she wrote 'Here' - and so on. She figured she'd fill it out while she waited. She didn't know who would be helping her out today, but looked forward to meeting them.

Derek Shepherd - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Derek decided to take a stroll around the grounds. He walked by the golf course and examined it. He hadn't play golf in a long time. He picked up and club and a ball and tee. He placed the tee in the grass and put the ball on it. He lined up to take a shot and made a swing. He watched as the ball soared off into the distance.

"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream..." - Kitty Pryde, OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's a beautiful, sunny day, and for Kitty Pryde, that means summer, and summer means ice cream, and she hasn't had her 'first summer ice cream' yet, but that's going to change.

She's by the outdoor pool, because it's hot and what's the point of eating ice cream if you're cold? She's wearing the blue bikini she got from the Boutique ages ago, it seems, with a pair of navy shorts currently covering the bottoms. Her feet are bare and her hair is loose and a bit messy, but she doesn't care. She's sitting on one of the lawn chairs, a small tub of double chocolate mocha ice cream - with chocolate chips - which she ordered from one of the restaurants, on the chair between her legs, and a very, large spoon in one hand.

"Here's to summer," Kitty says aloud, even though she's by herself. She takes a big scoop of the ice cream and sticks it into her mouth.

[[ OOC: Meeting the Summer Modly Challenge, but as usual, SlowTime is inevitable. Thank you. :D ]]

martha out on the grounds | mid afternoon | ota

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
A nice day, Martha had decided, required iced tea. Only this time, she thought, ones that didn't  have alcohol in them.

With a snort to herself, she set her finished drink down, and lay back on the towel that served as her surface for a bit of sunbathing, closing her eyes and soaking up the rays in a bikini top and shorts - namely the shorts she'd gotten the day she'd run into Jack at the Boutique and had him critique their fit. Not that there'd been much critiquing...

She had to give Here a bit of credit; the chances that she'd ever get a break from Torchwood long enough to do this were just about non-existent. No more thinking, she decided at that point. Just lots of enjoying the warm sun against her skin.

Derek was outside walking around the grounds, soaking up the warm rays of the sun.

There wasn't a whole lot to do here and he was still adjusting to that fact.

He walked along by the greenhouse and stopped to look at the plants inside.

Doctors and Nurses meeting (Boathouse)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Jack Harkness, Ana Clark, Martha Jones, Peter Petrelli, Derek Shepherd. (Plot Locked, closed, no tags from outsiders, please. If I forgot a person from the previous meeting post, that was tagged and locked to said post, please PM me here or email me at slavetoserendipiity@gmail.com)

When: The Friday before the meteor shower, right after meeting in the lobby.

Why: They had business to discuss about the clinic for Here and some patients.

Status: Incomplete.

*Ana escorted everyone into the boathouse, closed the door and waited a moment then she got right down to business.*

Did anyone notice if we were followed? I've had some minor spells put on this place to keep out any unwanted or unwarranted guests.

*She waited for people to pipe up and then she dove into business.*

Jack, I invited you here today because I so cannot decipher Gwen's notes and knowing what you do outside, in the real world. Well, I need to know if we are dealing with an enemy viral threat of some kind? She has exhibited her illness for weeks now, far longer then most normal viral encounters. Unless, she has an immunity disorder she doesn't know of at the moment? We have patients here with extremely case sensitive conditions. HCM, a medical mutation of the heart wall, patient subject: Lucas Scott. Who you Jack and you Martha have helped in a very grand capacity, previously. The other, and this is where I need your complete and utter diligence in keeping a secret just between us medical types and well, sorry Jack, but because of Gwen and her condition, you as well. I already have been contacted by an anon sicko who insisted that I was being a bitch for trying to keep some type of patient/practitioner privilege in place, especially in a scenario like this, it seems even more important that we do keep some modicum of real world ethics in place. So, I need everyone here, in this room to re-take your oaths so to speak, for the sake of ethics and the lives, the very delicate lives of some of the people who have wound up Here. Anyone opposed to re-stating their oaths can get up and leave this room, now. I've re-opened the clinic to this place and have been put in complete control of the medical facility. Meaning anything goes wrong and it is on my head, figuratively and theoretically speaking.

Derek had just left the clinic for a cup of coffee. He was sitting in tea leaves with a cup in front of him. He was wearing the scrubs and white coat he had arrived in.

Target Practice - Belladonna - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Belladonna had only glanced toward the archery range before, But she was good at this sort of thing. An arrow after all was no different from a poison dart shooter, or a well aimed gun.

She tensed her fingers just the right amount and drew back the bow.

And...

A little off center. Just a little, mind but enough to annoy a member of the Assasins Guild of New Orleans.

"Merde" she cursed and knocked another arrow.
