There was a note for Tim on the bulletin board, sealed in the envelope was a detailed direction sheet to a hidden cache where a few things that had been misplaced during the hubbub surrounding the explosion had been re-hidden.

After making sure that no one had seen him pin the envelope to the board, Remy slipped off to Solaria for some coffee, the meteor shower itself had been interesting enough, but not having his powers had been surprisingly jarring, sort of like losing a sense, and he was intent on not letting it bother him now that he had them back. Hence: caffeine.

OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Luna was slowly going stir crazy and not having her magic was not helping things one bit. She screamed something and nothing happened,"So not fun" slumping against the door of her suite. She had also felt something that reminded her of the Ravenclaw house ghost and for her that was a bit of comfort. But she decided to make the best of things and lit some candles before setting in for the shower.

(anyone want to check on her thanks to the bad arm?)

Curiosity - Belladonna Bordeaux - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The snow people were definitely amusing, and some of them even in some ways familiar, no one she knew...not really but almost like she'd seen them in a dream. Something...

"I don' get it" she muttered to herself and started to melt a patch of snow with a yellow glow from her left hand. She wished she knew why it was familiar to her...those faces.

She'd been standing there, wrapped up for a winter colder than a Cajun girl is used to for about ten minutes. The heat from her power warming her up some as the patch of path grows, rivlets of water flowing back toward the retreating snow.

Fitness Centre: late evening- OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Faith was in the Fitness Centre, seeing how far she could push her healed up body. Being a Slayer rocked, her broken ribs had healed up so much faster than a humans. But, like anyone else, she still needed some physio to get the muscles back to full working order and this was the first chance she'd had to really try some training.

After some cardio work she moved to the centre of the room, focusing on her breathing, before beginning on her Tai Chi routine, hoping to both stretch her body and calm her mind, which was still all over the place, for so many reasons. Never good. That way led to going crazy. So she was really hoping someone would come along to distract her some before her thoughts got too weird.

Target Practice - Belladonna - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Belladonna had only glanced toward the archery range before, But she was good at this sort of thing. An arrow after all was no different from a poison dart shooter, or a well aimed gun.

She tensed her fingers just the right amount and drew back the bow.

And...

A little off center. Just a little, mind but enough to annoy a member of the Assasins Guild of New Orleans.

"Merde" she cursed and knocked another arrow.

Entrance Post OTA

Rogue scowled as she finished her laps in the Danger Room. Ever since Kitty had disappeared Logan had been pushing 'his girls', herself and Jubilee, harder than ever in training. She bent over, bracing herself against the wall as she tried to catch her breath.

"Ah can freakin' fly anyway, why do ah have to do goddamn laps?" She muttered angrily under her breath as she stretched out, feeling the muscles crunch in protest. Ms Marvel's powers may have made her stronger, but damn she could still ache.

And she missed Remy. Not that she'd be admitting that to him any time soon.

She was just leaving the Danger Room to grab a shower when she noticed the puzzle in one corner. She picked it up with a frown, turning it over in her hands. The Professor and some of the others had been reluctant to share any information they had learned about what had happened to Kitty beyond the fact she was ok and it was somehow connected to a puzzle of some sort. She should hand this over to them, maybe they could figure out a way to use it to bring her back. She started to head out, her fingers idly slipping the puzzle pieces into place. As the last one clicked she felt the world lurch for a moment, and everything spun out of focus.

When her vision cleared again she seemed to be standing in the lobby of some hotel. One that was very definitely not the mansion.

"Oh you've gotta be kiddin' me..."

Dealing With It - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Kitty Pryde - Open to All
Where: The Pantry Restaurant.
When: A few days after the funeral.
Rating: PG (?)

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles."

- Christopher Reeve, American Actor, Film Director, Activist, 1952  - 2004

Kitty Pryde sits alone in the restaurant that has the most casual feel to it: bamboo chairs with nice cushions, wainscoting, dusky-rose walls. There are table cloths and linen napkins, but nothing fancy. It isn't easy to relax completely - since the explosion, every loud sound is a potential attack - and there are some rooms that just don't feel right, though she doesn't know why.

She hasn't been back to the game's room since that freaky experience she and Remy had witnessed, where the billiard balls had moved by themselves.

Before her is a plate with scones and clotted cream and strawberry preserve: an interpretation of a British tea. A large pot of tea is steeping next to the plate, and while she waits, she tries to focus on the book she's reading: 'Pride & Prejudice', by Jane Austen. She'd first read it when she was eleven, and knew she'd enjoy it. Something light but fun, something to take her away for a bit. It went very well with the tea, too.

There were so many people she hadn't been able to help. She's delighted beyond words that she was there for Layla and Lucas, and thanks God she heard the scream and arrived when she did. But she's a superhero, dammit, and they're supposed to be able to do more. Even with all her years of experience - she has been doing this since she was thirteen-and-a-half - she still expects more from herself during a crisis.

She sighs and tries to get lost in a different century, where, in some social circles, who you married was more important than who you loved.

Remy was out and about on a walk around the hotel, as he was prone to doing these days, too damn cold outside for a bayou boy, and nothing much to hold his interest inside, at least, not for long.

Previously he'd alleviated this boredom with a game of shuffleboard/ninepins that he'd made up himself.
That particular morning he was setting the game up again in one of the far and away upstairs corridors, out of the way of the usual foot-traffic, when something rumbled beneath him.

Being the firebug, and, after all, explosion-bug that he was, he arched a brow, "T'at's interestin'." And it was interesting enough to bear further investigation.

Of course, when he saw the actual destruction he swore, quite creatively, in Creole, French, and oddly enough, Hindi.

Time for a fall

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hop, hop, hop.

The Bunny eyes the empty lobby again, just to make sure it is still empty. If anyone sees him doing this, he's in big trouble. But sometimes, well, all the time really, he just has to follow his programming.

Which is telling him, someone has to pay.

So it is that he's carrying a small object, just about the size of an easter egg. Actually, it's painted to look like one too. But with some advanced knowledge, and future technology, the Bunny has created something quite powerful.

"Happy Birthday, buddy." With a quick two hops, he slams the egg into the delivery shoot and hits the button with both feet. After a smooth landing, his beady red eyes stare upwards, waiting for a rush of fire down the tube to tell him he's the new Manager of this place.

BOOM!

As pieces of the residence begin to fall down around his head, he can say but one thing.

"Oops."

((OOC:This is it boys and girls, the big badda boom! Enjoy yourselves.))
