In the Library [open]
Elaine is in the Library, reading a treatise written in her time about pregnancy. She has finally started to show a little bit, her belly now nicely rounded in the front--though only a little.
Still, it's enough to pat and sometimes talk to when she is alone. She is viewing the changes in her body with curiosity and fascination: how warm she seems to be sometimes, how everything seems to be changing and softening. How hungry she sometimes is, and how even her hair seems to be changing. So much change.
It's all becoming very real, and it's wonderful and a little terrifying too...and sometimes she wishes that she had another woman around who was more experienced in this than she was.
