Looking for Layla

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Wyatt just got Layla's letter. He hadn't realized how long it had been since he has seen or really interacted with anyone. Now that he knows he is looking for Layla. If he doesn't find her or meet someone else along the way he will settle in at the pool for a nice swim.

Lucas had headed down to the basketball court with his basketball in hand. It was a few days after the honeymoon had ended and he wanted to shoot some hoops. Layla was doing some research so he headed down on his own. He's been out there for about two hours already. He dribbled the ball, moving it under his legs a few times and then took a shot that soared through the hoop. He ran to grab the ball again.

Wyatt was working out in the gym with Lucas and Layla and now he is walking across the lobby still sweaty from his workout. His goal is his room for a nice hot shower and fresh clothing. If no one stops him there he will make it and come back down stairs where he starts to read a book on philosophy.

Channelling the Green Mother - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Abby Sciuto and - all together, now - anyone who would like to poke her gently with a stick...
Where: The Greenhouse.
When: After the change of the seasons.
Rating: I'll say PG-13, because...
Summary: Abby decides it's time to get her hands dirty...

"'Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?'
'With silver bells and cockle shells,
And pretty maids, all in a row.'"

~ Traditional English Nursery Rhyme

She's wearing black, which isn't unusual, but is very casual today: t-shirt, pants and boots. The t-shirt does have the skull-and-crossbones on it, but that's okay.

She doesn't think the plants will mind.

Abby walks the distance to the greenhouse, which is tucked neatly between the residence and the stables, and opens the door. The smell of earth and natural fertilizer and green, growing things wraps around her sense.

Ahh...

She opened the cupboards, checking for seeds and pots and soil and respecting the other plantings. Gathering what she needs - including the seeds she'd hoped for - she makes sure her pigtails are secure and starts to work.

Learning the Truth- (Closed to Lucas)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Wyatt glances around the room, the curtains are open letting the light shine in illuminating the still unlite candles in a circle surrounding his families Triquetra which is etched out in chalk. The room has a warm glow to it. He feels inside his pocket where the spell rests just in case he forgets it. "Now I just need to find Lucas." Wyatt closes the door behind him and heads out to the lobby. He sits in a chair in the lobby patiently awaiting Lucas.

KUBE, Trial run. OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Tim has been, well, bored lately. It's generally a bad idea for Tim to get bored. Last time he did, he created the skate rugs. This time...

He waits for sunset. It seems like it'll be the most dramatic time of day for this specific adventure. Anyone who cares to look will see our dear sweet Tim outside, trudging through the snow with a grin on his face.

Taking his place at the edge of the lake, away from the boathouse and new ship, Tim slips out his wand. (Six inches, black oak, core made from the hair of a god. Remember, it's not the size of the wand, it's how you use it.) He frowns for a moment at the lake, then smiles. He raises the wand, grinning.

To anyone in the residence, the sound of instruments tuning up will be heard. Anyone who ignores them will not hear anything else that transpires, but anyone who listens in will find the following piece broadcasting from any glass surface. Fun with magic.

The music plays for a few moments, allowing people to tune in or out as they wish, before the words begin pouring forth. Tims wand moves in time to the music.

Is this the real life- Is this just fantasy- Caught in a landslide- No escape from reality- Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see- I'm just a poor boy,i need no sympathy- Because I'm easy come, easy go, A little high, little low, Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, To me

Even as Tim gestures, the words pour forth from the various surfaces, mirrors, windows and the like, as good as Freddie Mercury ever sang it. In the lake, the water is moving, not in a gentle current, but building up. Humps of water raise upwards a good five feet before sliding back down to normal. Columns rise upwards to rotate and then fade away, all in time to the steady music.

(Tim, of course, makes sure not to disturb anyone who might be on the lake. He is polite.)

Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now hes dead, Mama, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away- Mama ooo, Didn't mean to make you cry- If I'm not back again this time tomorrow- Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-

The song is more then just words now. Tim is pouring everything into it Letting all the emotion this song needs to contain into it. If one closes ones eyes, they might almost see the scenes being described, understanding how someone could come to such a sorry state.

Too late,my time has come, Sends shivers down my spine- Bodys aching all the time, Goodbye everybody-I've got to go- Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth- Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows) I don't want to die, I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all-

And this next bit take the emotions up a step, not so sad anymore, maybe a ray of hope shining through. The water becomes a little more regimented, squares of water popping up to the music, forming complex patterns that might just be chaos at work. And always the showman, Tim lets a bolt of lighting cross the sky when it's mentioned.

I see a little silhouetto of a man, Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango- Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me- Galileo, galileo, Galileo galileo Galileo figaro-magnifico- But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me- He's just a poor boy from a poor family- Spare him his life from this monstrosity- Easy come easy go-,will you let me go- Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go- Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go-let me go Will not let you go let me go no, no, no, no, no, no, no- Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go- Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-

For a moment, there is quiet. Just long enough for anyone not familiar with the song to think it's over.

Tim uses that moment to remove his sunglasses, storing them in a pocket. A slow grin makes it's way onto his face, one might even say an evil grin. Then he throws the horns with his free hand, his wand darting out to encourage the water into a fierce and wild dance to celebrate the end of the song. Hell, he even throws in some headbanging.

So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-
Oh baby-cant do this to me baby-
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-

Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me..

And with that everything is calm. Which is when Tim takes the opurtunity to let everyone know what the hell is going on. "Ladies and gentlemen of Here, that was Bohemian Rhapsody by none other then Queen. And me? Well, I'm Tim Hunter rocking out here on Kay You Bee Eee, the Kube, a completely unofficial radio station for Here. If you want to request a song, just say Tim, and make your request, and I'll see about getting it out there for everyone to hear. Got a question to put to the general populace of Here? Go ahead and say Tim and ask your question. In fact, feel free to try anything here! This is a brand new show, we love call ins, and your participation, and well, interest, will decide whether I do this again."

Tim sits back, gazing up at the residence, still broadcasting. "So , people of the Residence, what do YOU wanna here? I'm Tim Hunter, and I'll be here 'till either everyone tells me to shut up, or the Manager shuts me down. Gimme a call, we'll get things done. Next up on the play list, we have a favorite of mine, Baby Got Back, by Sir Mix a lot! Oh, and hold on just a minute..."

Tim slips his sunglasses back on with a grin and a nod. An alarm spell is going off. Excellent. "Little birdie just whispered in my ear, we've got phone lines home open for the next five minutes, so make your calls home, then give me a call, and we'll chat!"

((OOC:totally just doing this to see what comes of it. Thread hopping encouraged, feel free to make what use of this you want to.))

But the ship in the lake was a new one ever for her,"So tempted to take a look" she cracked a rare these days smile.

Wyatt misses his family and so he has devised a way that may work. He still isn't sure if it will but for the moment he is meditating in front of a bowl of water that is surrounded by candles. A soft whisper escaping his lips. The sun is rising over the lake offering a soft magestic glow to surround the scene.

Entrance

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
She had just said goodbye to Derek. The real one. He had left too, just like everybody else had. Why couldn't someone stay with her?
Her mother and Ellie were dead, Derek was leaving that night, her father was far away: she herself didn't even know where anymore.
And her friends didn't need her either: Nathan and Haley were as happy as could be and Lucas had left her behind too.
She sighed while opening the door.
She really didn't feel like going to bed so she passed her room's door and went up the stairs to the attic. She rummaged around until she found a box with her old toys inside.
Then she sat down on the floor and pulled her old stuffed toys out of it. They took her back to a time when her father was home and her mother was alive, before fate took her life and turned upside down for his own enjoyment.
She found a cube under the pile of toys, a sort of wooden box.
"I don't remember anything like it" she thought. And opened it.
Thirteen small pieces fell on the floor and arranged themselves as a picture.
She saw a flash of blinding green light and closed her eyes.
When she opened them again she wasn't in the attic any longer. She wasn't even in her own house.
She was outside, the night air chilling her through her evening dress. And she was in front of a lake.

Derek sat in his office in the hospital wearing his scrubs and white coat. He stetascope hung around his neck. His had numerous other things in the pockets of his white coat.

He rubbed his eyes trying hard to make the decision. He needed something to take his mind off it for a while. He looked in his desk drawer and found a cube. He set to work solving it.

He worked on it for a couple of hours and eventually managed to solve it.

There was a bright light and he closed his eyes. He opened them again and wasn't in his office anymore. He was in what appeared to be the lobby of a hotel.

Who: Sam Winchester and OTA
Where: The Chapel
When: Saturday evening, before dinner.

Sam was sitting, quietly, near the back of the chapel, head down. He might have been praying, he might've just been sitting quietly, at any rate, he'd been there over an hour, hands clasped on the pew in front of him, gaze locked somewhere past his hands, he could probably use an interruption at this point, he doesn't bite, really.

She needed to prove her mettle

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Layla and Ota
When: Same time Lucas disappeared to the library. She didn't know where he had gone off too. She figured now would be the perfect time to test her mettle.
Why: Because she needed to stand on her own two feet, get back to her old self.

*She grew a giant Japanese Cherry Blossom tree, out in the snow, she grew a swing from the vines of said tree. The tree was large and it smelled amazing, even in this weather. This was the first time she had been away from Lucas since the explosion. If she ran into him, so be it, if not all the better. She would reconnect to nature, center herself and just enjoy the cold and her powers. She swung and hummed to herself. People could bother her, she might be very skittish, but feel free to say hello.*

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Sitting outside next to a tree, a very special tree, Wyatt is making notes in a note pad, trying to remember as much as he can from the Book of Shadows to figure out the best way to help Lucas find out what happened so long ago. He considers how is father had shown Paige but that wouldn't work for this he decides and goes back to the drawing board.

If you approach he probably wont notice unless you say something but he is doing much better today. Evidenced by the fact he is working on something magic related.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: The Doctor and OTA (Martha and Romana in particular, if they want to...)
Where: By the lake
What: Emo. He shall need huggles.

---

The Doctor sat on a boulder, staring out at the lake. It was cold, and he had no coat on, but he wasn't bothered by the temperature. Even if it was cold enough to affect him, he still probably wouldn't care.

Freezing would only make him feel more numb. If that was even possible.

He should be used to this by now. Losing people. This wasn't even the first time he'd lost her.

But it never got any easier.
