Leaving for the TARDIS

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Where: The Doctor and Jack's room.
Who: The Doctor, Jack, Martha and Lizzie (locked, plzkthnx)

The Doctor pulls on his coat, the blue suit he came Here in, and looks around the room. He didn't need to bring anything back with him, he had everything he needed.

He was quite eager to get out of Here. Too long in one place, surrounded by memories he'd rather try to escape from.

"Right. All set," he says.

Martha wakes up and is confused. [Jack?]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Martha doesn't wake up peacefully. She wakes up with a gasp, bolting upright and looking about her in shock, surprise, and confusion as she tries to remember just where the fuck she is and how she ended up here. In the next instant, she remembers being attacked and that was it, and she wonders in alarm just how long she's been sleeping. Not wanting to think on that for long, however, she decides that it's not important, and climbs off of the table she was laid out on, grateful to find that she was still clothed as she hadn't any time to waste.

Crossing the room, she went for the door, opening it and peeking outside. Looking to her left and right, she sees no one, and decides it's her best chance, sprinting forth. She doesn't know where she is, as it's not the Residence, and she has no bleeding clue where she's running to, but she'll be damned if she stays in one place for too long, having learned enough from That Year.

It isn't long before she can hear whoever had her captive yelling of an escaped prisoner, and she decidedly doesn't let it get to her, reminding herself that if she just keeps running, they won't catch her. She just has to keep running. She trips a bit, but she doesn't fall, thankfully, and she realises with shock that the Residence is actually up ahead. If she wasn't running in fear, she'd be amazed at the fact that they are no longer closed off.

Eventually the ones pursuing her give up, for which she's grateful, and she slows down to a jog, and then to a walk, breathing heavily as she runs out of adrenaline, curious as to just what is going on as she gets closer to the Residence, until finally, she's sure she's reached the point where it used to start. She doesn't stop however, until she gets to the lobby, and even then, she feels like collapsing. And she does, sitting on the floor as soon as she gets inside the door.

"What the hell is going on?" She's asking herself, but she really wishes that someone cold give her an answer.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Despite that fact that it wasn't as warm as it had been just a few short weeks ago, Martha loved being outside, even if it was just sitting under a tree as she was. Her arms were crossed over her chest, a somewhat serene smile on her face as she blew a stray strand of hair out of her face and returned to looking around the grounds peacefully.

She thought about them less, her family back in London. But she didn't know if she should be more relieved or disturbed at that fact. She decided, however, on relieved though, as that route kept her from having one too many Long Island iced teas.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who:Martha & Jack [plotlocked].
Where: Starts at Martha's room (104).
When: Late at night.
Rating: Let's say PG-13 to start.
Why: Martha told Jack that all he had to do was knock on her door one night and she'd go skinny dipping with him.

Martha had just settled into bed and was dreaming. It was looking to be a very good dream, actually. She was sitting on a towel on a nice sandy beach in the middle of the night, far far away from Cardiff, watching as a very not dressed Jack approached her, a slow grin spreading across her face as she enjoyed both the view he was providing and the night air –

And then there was knocking at her door, jerking from sleep and forcing her to sit up on her bed. She sat for a moment, rubbing her eyes as there was more knocking, and then climbed out of bed as she pushed away the idea of Derek making an appearance later on in the now lost dream. She made her way to the door, not ever caring that she wasn't properly dressed to answer it.

"Whatever it is," she said, even as she pulled the door open, "it had better be good."

martha out on the grounds | mid afternoon | ota

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
A nice day, Martha had decided, required iced tea. Only this time, she thought, ones that didn't  have alcohol in them.

With a snort to herself, she set her finished drink down, and lay back on the towel that served as her surface for a bit of sunbathing, closing her eyes and soaking up the rays in a bikini top and shorts - namely the shorts she'd gotten the day she'd run into Jack at the Boutique and had him critique their fit. Not that there'd been much critiquing...

She had to give Here a bit of credit; the chances that she'd ever get a break from Torchwood long enough to do this were just about non-existent. No more thinking, she decided at that point. Just lots of enjoying the warm sun against her skin.

Entry Post: Lost in Thought - then simply lost... OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and OTA
Where: Naboo then the Lobby of Here
When: What time is it, anyway? ;)
Rating: No clue. We'll say PG-13, and adjust if necessary.
Summary: An unexpected journey...

"The council has granted me permission to train you. You will be a Jedi, I promise."

~ Obi-Wan Kenobi, recent Jedi Knight, to young Anakin Skywalker, 'The Phantom Menace'.

He didn't know how long he'd been sitting at the window, staring out at the Naboo sky. In a few hours, he would attend the ceremony for his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, at the Theed Funeral Temple. In the space of the last forty-eight hours, he had witnessed death and hope, and a myriad of other experiences that made for quite a memorable time. And yet he, felt empty.

He had made a promise, and despite his misgivings, he would follow through with that promise.

Obi-Wan Kenobi dragged a hand through his hair - and encountered his braid.

Master...

Young Anakin Skywalker was probably sleeping right now, or not, being as he was young and apparently full of boundless energy.

When did I start feeling old?

He sighed and stood, resolved to make himself ready. Still in his cloak and tunic, from his meeting with the Jedi Council, his lightsaber secure on his belt, he turned his back on the view and crossed the room. Intent on some meditation before a bath, he went through the door and paused, taking a moment to absorb the object before him.

There was a box on the counter. He looked around and frowned slightly before stepping forward and carefully lifting it. He examined it closely, discovered it contained thirteen, oddly-shaped pieces and tipped them onto the counter. It was a puzzle. From Anakin? He sighed, analyzed and assembled the pieces into a cube -

And found himself in some sort of reception area, with varied seating, pictures on the wall and large, draped windows with a view of beautiful lawns.

Obi-Wan blinked, strode out the doors into the sunshine, stopped and stared. He quickly deduced that not only was he not anywhere near his chambers, but that he was no longer on Naboo at all.

Re-entering the structure, he took a few cautious steps and tried to locate any clue as to where he had, somehow, been transported. He stretched his senses using the Force and came to an alarming conclusion.

"I have a very bad feeling about this," he murmured aloud.

Doctors and Nurses meeting (Boathouse)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Jack Harkness, Ana Clark, Martha Jones, Peter Petrelli, Derek Shepherd. (Plot Locked, closed, no tags from outsiders, please. If I forgot a person from the previous meeting post, that was tagged and locked to said post, please PM me here or email me at slavetoserendipiity@gmail.com)

When: The Friday before the meteor shower, right after meeting in the lobby.

Why: They had business to discuss about the clinic for Here and some patients.

Status: Incomplete.

*Ana escorted everyone into the boathouse, closed the door and waited a moment then she got right down to business.*

Did anyone notice if we were followed? I've had some minor spells put on this place to keep out any unwanted or unwarranted guests.

*She waited for people to pipe up and then she dove into business.*

Jack, I invited you here today because I so cannot decipher Gwen's notes and knowing what you do outside, in the real world. Well, I need to know if we are dealing with an enemy viral threat of some kind? She has exhibited her illness for weeks now, far longer then most normal viral encounters. Unless, she has an immunity disorder she doesn't know of at the moment? We have patients here with extremely case sensitive conditions. HCM, a medical mutation of the heart wall, patient subject: Lucas Scott. Who you Jack and you Martha have helped in a very grand capacity, previously. The other, and this is where I need your complete and utter diligence in keeping a secret just between us medical types and well, sorry Jack, but because of Gwen and her condition, you as well. I already have been contacted by an anon sicko who insisted that I was being a bitch for trying to keep some type of patient/practitioner privilege in place, especially in a scenario like this, it seems even more important that we do keep some modicum of real world ethics in place. So, I need everyone here, in this room to re-take your oaths so to speak, for the sake of ethics and the lives, the very delicate lives of some of the people who have wound up Here. Anyone opposed to re-stating their oaths can get up and leave this room, now. I've re-opened the clinic to this place and have been put in complete control of the medical facility. Meaning anything goes wrong and it is on my head, figuratively and theoretically speaking.

Who: Martha, Jack and Gwen (ooc: plotlocked)
Where: Room 104.

Martha hops out of her shower and dresses in a simple top and a pair of jeans. She towel dries her hair next, and then pulls it back into a simple ponytail before checking her watch. She has about five minutes before Jack and Gwen are scheduled to arrive at her door, and leaves her bedroom to take a seat on her sofa and wait.

(ooc: order - Jack, Gwen, Martha OR Gwen, Jack, Martha depending on who comments first.)

Are you busy later? I was thinking we could have that mini-team meeting with Gwen, catch her up on how Here works and ease her confusion.

Martha, The Boutique - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
It's not really all that surprising to Martha that after a short walk on the grounds, she finds herself at the Boutique, browsing the racks. For one thing, she loves clothes, when she gets a chance to shop - not that this could be considered shopping. For another, she really does love clothes. Then, there's the notice she found on her door. According to what she read, the weather was going to change soon, and she'd rather be ready for the warmth than not.

She pulls a pair of shorts off a rack and considers keeping them.

Letting Off Some Steam

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Martha Jones and Jack Harkness (closed).
Where: The Fitness Centre.
When: After their little chat in the bar (and if I knew how to do a link thingie here, I would... ).
Rating: We'll say 'R', as Jack might swear, bless 'im. Will alter if necessary.

He's found her in a bar, drinking, alone. Her expression has flickered from being far away to being almost too intense and everywhere in between, and her smile keeps slipping.

Jack has decided to try and fix that.

He's in sweats and a singlet, all set for a workout, and she's just in regular clothes, but they'll make it work. Maybe she just needs to let off some steam. Lord knows he does.

"Right," he says as they enter the Fitness Centre. He places the bottles of water on a bench. "What would you like to start with, Doctor Jones? Weights? A little cardio?" He smiles one of his mega-watt smiles and spreads his arms wide. "What'll it be?"

Who: Martha (if she wants too) and OTA

Where: The Bar

When: A couple of hours after his arrival.

Derek sat in the bar and took another swig from the bottle of beer in front of him. He tried to let what he had been told sink in but still thought, or hoped, that any moment he'd wake up and find it had all been a dream. He was still wearing his scrubs and white coat. He thought of Meredith sitting in the bar waiting for him to show up. He didn't know if he would have if he was still in Seattle. But he'd never have the chance. Ever have the chance to sign the divorce papers. His fumled with the wedding ring in his pocket. He took another swig. One good thing about this place was the booze was free.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Martha, OTA
Where: Blix Bar
What: Martha's...slightly less okay than she's been saying (but only slightly). Which, of course, means a few hours at one of the bars is in order.

They can fix the building, build it back up as if it never came down, but it's left its mark. Martha thinks, feeling only slightly philosophical as she sits in a seat at the counter, halfway through what she's pretty sure happens to be her...third, maybe fourth, Long Island Ice Tea.

She'd been lucky. If she'd stopped to have breakfast that day, she'd probably be dead. And then her family...they wouldn't know. Ever. they'd go on for years, thinking she disappeared off the face of the Earth. And while she has disappeared, she isn't dead and gone yet. And besides, it's one thing to be stuck Here. But to die here? No.

She originally came for one drink. One drink, and then she'd return to her room. But one drink became two, and two was more than enough to put her in a mood. She looks at her glass, finding it not halfway as she'd thought, but completely empty. She shrugs, not caring much that she was wrong. "Another Long Island Ice Tea."

She picks it up when it appears in front of her and takes a sip.

OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: The Doctor and OTA (Martha and Romana in particular, if they want to...)
Where: By the lake
What: Emo. He shall need huggles.

---

The Doctor sat on a boulder, staring out at the lake. It was cold, and he had no coat on, but he wasn't bothered by the temperature. Even if it was cold enough to affect him, he still probably wouldn't care.

Freezing would only make him feel more numb. If that was even possible.

He should be used to this by now. Losing people. This wasn't even the first time he'd lost her.

But it never got any easier.

Who: Jack and Martha (closed)
When: backdated - Sunday night.
Where: The smaller library.

Jack can play hide and seek all he likes, but I will find him., Martha thinks, pushing open the doors to the smaller library on the ground floor.

It’s true. She’s spent the past hour looking for him and has so far been unable to find him; she didn’t even bother with his and the Doctor's room (she almost thinks "his, the Doctor's, and Rose's" but stops herself), mostly because she knows better than that. If she'd even bothered, she wouldn't have found him there. She’s sure she’ll find him, though, and she’s determined to make sure it happens tonight. She's understandably worried, not just because of Rose, but for other reasons that she isn't sure aren't related. At the memorial, she hadn’t been ready yet, not to have this conversation with either of them, but she is now. And she thinks Jack needs to have it first.

She takes a look around as she walks further into the room, keeping an eye out for him and thinking to herself that this could be a much easier search if he had access to a roof; she takes it back immediately despite the fact that she knows what she really meant.

She heads for the slightly darker section of the library, taking her time as she looks around. "Jack?"
