Obi-Wan Kenobi prepares to return to his fate... (Departure)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
After the revelations of the true nature of the staff and the Residence itself, he supposed it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen.

Obi-Wan Kenobi regarded the domed cube. He'd packed the few belongings he wished to take with him and decided to wander the halls and see if there was anyone left who knew him, anyone he should say goodbye to.

Of the woman named Emma, who had helped him when he first arrived in this strange place, there was no sign.

She was the one whom he really knew best. He hoped she was home and safe with her friends, whom he gathered were like family to her.

Sighing, he headed back toward his room, taking his time, wanting to assist anyone who might need it before he touched the cube himself. He didn't encounter anyone along the way, so he entered his room, took hold of his bag of belongings and touched the cube.

An instant later, he had left the place called Here and was returned to his own universe.

Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and OTA.
Where: The Woods of Here.
When: Dawn.
What: Meditation.

[[ OOC: And Slow-Time, folks, life being the way it is these days...]]

A man sat calmly in the woods of this strange pocket dimension - or wherever Here existed - his legs crossed, the backs of his hands resting on his thighs, palms up, eyes closed. His brown robes were draped over a nearby stump and he sat, in white sweat pants and T-shirt - the clothing he arrived in at the cleaners - losing himself in the trees around him, sensing the Force through the soil, the grass, the leaves that still clung to their branches.

A person might think it odd to be sitting in the woods in white pants - unless they moved closer and realized he was hovering about six inches above the ground.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Knight without a Master, without a Padawan, without peace to negotiate or anyone to guard or struggles to be settled, let his head drop forward as he concentrated his energy on learning everything he could about how this place worked.

and how he might be able to return everyone to their rightful homes.

Emma OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
She was walking, with much aide from a couple of canes that most people would use when they break their hips or both their legs, her arms were looped inside of them, holding her body up. She had to walk, because her next stop was back at the gym and working on her yoga and her martial arts. She took it slow through the halls, Ana watching from a little ways off, mostly to just give the girl some privacy.

She tossed her hair back and lay lack on her elbows looking out over the lake, watching the gentle waves ripple over the surface.

Working out frustrations - Lee Adama OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Lee was in the gym wrapping his hands carefully before slipping boxing gloves on. Ever since Kara had told him about the frakking wendy house on New Caprica, he’d been trying to get his head round it. All of it stank, how the toaster had been able to persuade Kara that Kacey had been her daughter, that they were a family.

It was eating him up the fact he had known so little about what had happened for so long. It was frakked up and he didn’t blame Kara for what had happened but he couldn’t help feel jealous. He began punching the bag slow jabs at first but working up to some heavy hitting.

Lee let his frustration surface pounding the bag with everything he had, imagining the bag to be Leoben he pummelled it, unaware that he had been shouting at it too, only really noticing when his lungs started burning for air.

Entrance Post OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Elizabeth Bennett had been enjoying the tour of the Peak District with her Aunt and Uncle the Gardiners. She had been admiring of the landscape; appreciative of the tours around homes of the local gentry and an appetite for local colour.

However, there was one house on this grand tour she had serious reservations about. Pemberley. How could she go there? It was Mister Darcy's house and after his proposal, after the letter that he had written, it would be too much.

The Gardiner's not knowing of these goings on had prevailed upon her with promises that she need not worry. He was known to be in town on business and unlikely to return to Pemberley for a number of weeks. He would never know she had been there.

Resigned she agreed to go and the evening before they were due to take the trip her Uncle took her to one side.

"My dear Lizzie, you mustn't think us terrible, for prevailing upon you so. Pemberley is surely one of the most oustanding houses in this part of Derbyshire."

"I never would sir," she replied.

Mr Gardiner smiled. "I know my dear, but I see your heart is heavy, missing your sisters I'm sure. I have here a little something I think would be a perfect diversion for you."

He produces a small wooden puzzle with many pieces. "It is quite the thing this Season in London, it has been driving me to distraction and distraction is just the thing you seem to require."

"Thank you Uncle, you are very thoughtful." Lizzie said before her Uncle left her to it.

The puzzle was fiendish she looked at the pieces and tried to be logical before going by trial and error, trying to get the pieces fitting as they should. Lizzie noted just before she slottted the last piece in that she must remember to thank her Uncle for the puzzle again in the morning.

The last piece slid into place and Lizzie felt the same surge of excitement that she got when something had been completed to her satisfaction.

She got to her feet, "Aunt Gardiner?" She called.

This was not the room at the Inn she was suddenly very afraid.

Mallory is down by the lake, trying not to be distracted by all the new people she's seeing around Here while she practices her yoga in the soft grass.

It's going to be a hot day, but for now the air is only warm and she is feeling flexible and loose as she balances in pose after pose, concentrating of her breathing.

Buffy Summers - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Buffy stood in front of the punch bag in the gym. She'd been pummeling it for over an hour now. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and made a few good shots to it.

She stretched her arms and decided to leave the punch bag alone and instead work on some of the Tai Chi moves Angel had taught her.

Peyton at the two trees

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Peyton walked outside to the two trees Layla had grown for her mom and Ellie. She had picked some flowers for both of them and had taken them with her.
She kneeled down in front of her mom's. She loved Ellie but she had loved her more like a friend than like a mother. That place would always be Anna Sawyer's.
"Hey Mom" she said "It was a long time we hadn't talked, I know. But I had no place to do so until now. But see what great friends I found here too? Layla grew this tree for you so I could have somewhere to talk to you" she smiled and talked some more: how she had gotten there, meeting Lucas again, meeting new people and making new friends...
She turned to Ellie too a few times and talked to her tree about her music and how the CD they had created did in the shops and so on.
She had missed talking to them.

A nice day, Martha had decided, required iced tea. Only this time, she thought, ones that didn't  have alcohol in them.

With a snort to herself, she set her finished drink down, and lay back on the towel that served as her surface for a bit of sunbathing, closing her eyes and soaking up the rays in a bikini top and shorts - namely the shorts she'd gotten the day she'd run into Jack at the Boutique and had him critique their fit. Not that there'd been much critiquing...

She had to give Here a bit of credit; the chances that she'd ever get a break from Torchwood long enough to do this were just about non-existent. No more thinking, she decided at that point. Just lots of enjoying the warm sun against her skin.

Sparring - Jaina Solo & Obi Wan Kenobi - Locked

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Jaina made her way out to the grass in front of the residence, the area she'd indicated to Obi Wan to meet and spar and began some stretching exercises and Jedi breathing techniques, She'd deliberately arrived early so as to better prepare to face someone like Kenobi, someone she knew would challenge her.

It was weird, she could only think of the Mando techniques she'd learned from Fett and his people, the techniques she'd learned deliberately to fight Jacen and it was confusing the kriff out of her.

"Sword of the Jedi" she muttered, igniting her lightsaber and staring into the purple blade as she held it before her, stepping into a Mando attack pose and nodded becoming a swirling beacon of cold rage just as they'd taught her, ignoring her surroundings just picturing Darth Caedus, ending his life, and she would do it for Mara and his other victims, and for Jacen Solo who he had once been.

She slashed with the saber lost in the rage.

Ginny is out by the telescopes tonight with her star charts, looking in vain for anything even remotely familiar to her or similar to sky she was used to being under. She suspected that she would have to make her own charts of the sky and its patterns to see what she could find.

It was a lonely feeling; she didn't even know if she was a speck in the sky to the people at home.

By the lake - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mimi is sitting by the lake, enjoying the warmer weather, in a bikini top and a short skirt. Her shoes have been kicked off, and she's just enjoying the sunshine. She might go for a swim later, or she might just sunbathe more.

She's getting kind of bored, and would love some company.

Galaxy Far Far Away - Jaina Solo - Plot Locked to Palpatine and Obi Wan Kenobi

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Jaina sat in the bar having left notes for both Islan and Obi Wan And boy was that still weird to meet her in the bar, Islan's note had explained that there was someone else from their galaxy here, maybe even his time and they needed to discuss their options.

She wore a simple green jumpsuit, her lightsaber hanging from the belt at her waist and sipped at a Corellian Ale as she waited for the two men to arrive.

Entry Post: Lost in Thought - then simply lost... OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Obi-Wan Kenobi and OTA
Where: Naboo then the Lobby of Here
When: What time is it, anyway? ;)
Rating: No clue. We'll say PG-13, and adjust if necessary.
Summary: An unexpected journey...

"The council has granted me permission to train you. You will be a Jedi, I promise."

~ Obi-Wan Kenobi, recent Jedi Knight, to young Anakin Skywalker, 'The Phantom Menace'.

He didn't know how long he'd been sitting at the window, staring out at the Naboo sky. In a few hours, he would attend the ceremony for his Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, at the Theed Funeral Temple. In the space of the last forty-eight hours, he had witnessed death and hope, and a myriad of other experiences that made for quite a memorable time. And yet he, felt empty.

He had made a promise, and despite his misgivings, he would follow through with that promise.

Obi-Wan Kenobi dragged a hand through his hair - and encountered his braid.

Master...

Young Anakin Skywalker was probably sleeping right now, or not, being as he was young and apparently full of boundless energy.

When did I start feeling old?

He sighed and stood, resolved to make himself ready. Still in his cloak and tunic, from his meeting with the Jedi Council, his lightsaber secure on his belt, he turned his back on the view and crossed the room. Intent on some meditation before a bath, he went through the door and paused, taking a moment to absorb the object before him.

There was a box on the counter. He looked around and frowned slightly before stepping forward and carefully lifting it. He examined it closely, discovered it contained thirteen, oddly-shaped pieces and tipped them onto the counter. It was a puzzle. From Anakin? He sighed, analyzed and assembled the pieces into a cube -

And found himself in some sort of reception area, with varied seating, pictures on the wall and large, draped windows with a view of beautiful lawns.

Obi-Wan blinked, strode out the doors into the sunshine, stopped and stared. He quickly deduced that not only was he not anywhere near his chambers, but that he was no longer on Naboo at all.

Re-entering the structure, he took a few cautious steps and tried to locate any clue as to where he had, somehow, been transported. He stretched his senses using the Force and came to an alarming conclusion.

"I have a very bad feeling about this," he murmured aloud.
