Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mark feels antsy.

He's been Here almost a year now. Which makes it almost fall, Here time. Never a good time of year for him.

Though despite everything, it isn't so bad for him right now. Yeah, he's stuck Here, but he has Roger, Mimi and Angel. And Abby, he adds, and can't help smiling. Mark really likes her.

Maybe this fall won't be so bad.

Brooke was sitting down in one of the cafés, drinking some cold tea and working on some drawings. As stupid as it could sound since she had no means to send them to her company, she still wanted to work on them and get them as better as she could.

Making something out of nothing (Plot-locked to Abby, thanks!)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mark smiles at the waiter who hands him a menu. Its odd seeing people around, but kinda familiar too. He'd almost forgotten what it was like to order food the 'normal' way.

He scanned the menu with a sigh, wondering what he should eat.

[[OOC: Mark I can has Abby plz? kthnx!]]

Why am I the witness? OTA

Mark doesn't usually do too well in the sun - he's just too pale. So he's sitting in Mixed Leaves with an iced tea and trying not to wilt. Summer's not his favourite season by far. It beats the Fall, but not by much. He's wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and feels way too exposed.

He shakes his head slightly at himself. How much of a metaphor can you get? He likes to be bundled up in layers, hiding behind them. Maybe thats why he's had such crappy luck in relationships.

Mark and Cassie

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mark sits in the bar, staring at the bottle of beer in front of him.

Part of him wants to get completely wasted, but he really can't be bothered to do even that.

He's broken up with his girlfriend because she can't get over her ex. His ex is here, and he is almost over her, or as over her as he'll ever be, and there's some sort of alien flu scare that means his friends can't leave their room, and he can't go in to see them.

It's safe to say he's had better days.

Entrance Post: Maureen Johnson - La Diva est arrivee

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Damnit.

The delay had broken on her system again and she was meant to be doing a testimonial performance for Mark this evening. She sighed heavily. She's lost a lot of her friends one way or another recently. Mark's disappearence was odd though something didn't ring right. Roger had taken it hard and had gone to ground.

But the apartment, Mark had a spare delay set up that she knew would work, he wouldn't have minded, hell it was fitting. Maureen hot footed it over to the building but couldn't get in.

"What on earth are you doing here?" asked a low voice.

Maureen spun around unsure whether to hit the person or run. But as he stepped out of the shadows she recognised at once who it was, Benny.

"Benny?" she checked. "Christ you scared the shit out of me there. I was trying ot get into the apartment, there's something in there I need."

Benny shook his head. "Cant let you in Maureen, Roger's disappeared too I can't just let you in."

"But Benny tonight's gig, for Mark, will be ruined if I don't get the delay fixed." She wheedled, if anyone was Benny's weak spot Mark might just be it, they had been best friends a while back.

"Please pookie?"

Benny rolled his eyes. "You will be the death of me Maureen, seriously. You got five minutes."

Maureen leaned up and kissed him on the cheek, "I owe you one."

"Yes, you do."

She smiled widely and skipped in through the door and into the familiar loft apartment. It had been deserted now for nearly two weeks since Roger vanished too. She went to Mark's room, their room once upon a very long time ago and rifled through some of his electonic gubbins until she found the piece that would make the delay work.

"Miss you pookie." She said out loud to the room at large before heading back out. On the way though something caught her eye, a puzzle. She hadn't seen one quite like it before and pocketed it for later.

"Thanks Benny" she called on her way out and blew him a kiss.

Maureen made her way to the performance space but her mind was distracted, the puzzle she just had to have a go at it and now.

She dipped into a coffee shop ordered a skinny latte and started to work on the puzzle.

Damned it was infuruating, the latte going cold beside her as she tried to fit the pieces in slowly but surely coming together, this was cool. The last few pieces going in and when she looked up... she wasn't in the East Village anymore.

The Library, OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Mark is sitting with the laptop and camera Manny had given him months ago. He was getting good at digital editing, and he's playing with some clips of some of the odd animals he's managed to capture on film, splicing clips together and working on effects.

He's using earphones so as not to disturb other people in the Library, so if you want to talk to him, you might need to get his attention first.

Lucas, Mark and Roger (Closed)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Lucas had left Layla with Mimi, Faith was meant to be joining them later.

He walked to Mark and Rogers room, his tux in hand. He knocked on the door.

He was so looking forward to the next morning. He had a wide smile on his face. He was going to miss Layla this night but it was bad luck to see the bride the night before the wedding.

Ironic close up tight, on the phone machine's red light...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Mark, OTA
Where: The Lobby
What: Just hanging out.

---

Mark looked down at Micheala's cell phone again. Still no signal. He'd gotten through to Sam, but now he was keeping it, just in case he could use it to contact Collins, or someone at home.

He's not sure what he'd say to Collins if he did get through. Part of him would like to get him to do a puzzle and come here, because that's more likely than any of them getting out of Here.

He sighed, and slipped it back into his bag, looking out the window distractedly

To being an 'us' for once...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Mimi, Roger, Mark, Angel (locked)
When: Backdated liek whoa - the morning after Mimi and Roger met.

---

Mark slid his key in the lock as Angel headed into their room.

"Roger," he called as he stepped into the room. "Roger, there's something I have to tell you-"

He stopped when he saw Roger, sitting calmly in the living area. With Mimi. And he was smirking.

"Oh," he said. "You... you two found out by yourselves," he said. "Okay..."

He looked at Mimi. She looked good. Healthy, far better than the last time he saw the Mimi he knew.

"Er, hi," he said. She smiled back, and it was freaky, it was so familiar, and he had to remind himself he didn't know this girl.

"Hey," she replied.

"So ... you're okay?" he asked, looking between them.

Who: Mark and OTA (he can has Angel plz?)
Where: Pantry restaurant.
When: Saturday Morning(post-dated)

----

Mark left Romana's room early, deciding to go down to get breakfast. Yeah, he was avoiding the room again. He never knew what kind of mood Roger would be in. He knew he hadn't started using again. But whether he would or not, Mark still wasn't sure.

He'd bring breakfast up to Roger when he was done. He ordered a plate of pancakes and bacon for himself, with lots of maple syrup, and a large mug of coffee, and sat down to enjoy the delicious smelling meal.

This was one thing he never got sick of Here. The food was amazing.

Turn the projector on...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Mark and Roger (locked)
Where: Film screening room
What: Oh, angst, dead girlfriends, and guilt trips. Not pretty.

---

MArk had left a note, asking Roger to meet him here.

He really didn't want to do this, but he had no choice. This was for Roger's own good. It wouldn't be easy for him to watch, but he needed to hear it. And from someone he'd listen to.

He'd set up the projector, it was ready to go as soon as Roger got here.

The phone rings

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Faith and Mark (locked)
What: Ringing Sam to tell him about Micheala (*sniff*)
Warnings: Made us cry when we logged it. Optimus Prime being generally kickass.

---

Mark took a seat in the lobby, reaching into his bag to pull out Micheala's cell phone. Still nothing. He sighed.

He'd been taking turns with Faith trying to call Micheala's boyfriend back home to tell her, but neither had been successful yet. They were meeting to switch over the phone again.

He was early, so he sat back in his chair, and waited.

Not Yet Ready - Arrival - Jaina Solo - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The hydrospanner hit the far wall with a satisfying thud and Jaina Solo, Sword of the Jedi Order, slid down the side of her X Wing fighting the tears back from her eyes.

"SithSpawn" she cursed, the phrase only making her feel worse since that much at least wasn't true. Her twin had made the choice all on his own. And Mara had paid the price for his darkness.

"Agh" she growled, kicking the side of her ship. It neither made her feel better nor fixed Jacen. But it had seemed appropriate at the time.

She wiped her hands on an already dirty hand towel and moved toward the changing rooms and the sanisteam throwing her clothes and tools on a bench.

After the Sanisteam Jania emerged back into the changing room to find a puzzle box perched atop the tool box.

One of Uncle Luke's little exercises obviously.

Her mind was fine. It was her body she needed to train. She needed to fight Jacen, Kill him. Finish this once and for all.

But she wasn't ready.

The box stayed there, untouched for a few days. Through scouting missions, training, even an encounter with a GAG ship.

It stayed there through dinner with her parents, she'd never seen them so somber, Her dad didn't know what to do, never having been good with this sort of thing. Jaina had talked to him about her ship and to her Mom about Jag who wasn't a boyfriend but maybe could someday be.

Jacen was not mentioned though they, all three thought of him.

And then she'd gone to meet Luke dressed like a Jedi, Lightsabre hanging from her belt, she figured she should do his puzzle thingy before she got there. There might be some point to it he wanted to make to her. And she'd learned to listen to her Uncle.

She sat on a bench watching the cars fly by overhead, watching the carefully constructed Courscanti trees blow in the light breeze, and she worked on it, getting to the end as she heard the voice.

"Jaina" he said and her heart broke almost as she slid the last piece into place. He sounded so sad.

"I did it" she said with a shrug but she hadn't said it to her Uncle.

She jumped from the floor where she'd landed on, using the Force to help her land on her feet and looked around. It looked like one of the fancier hotels on Courscant. But how the hell had she gotten here, had she been knocked out. Had Uncle Luke. Had that even been her Uncle.

Was this all a trap...

"Jacen!" she screamed angrily "Show yourself you coward" she yelled over the audible snap-hiss as she activated her violet coloured lightsaber and fell into a battle stance.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Martha, OTA
Where: Blix Bar
What: Martha's...slightly less okay than she's been saying (but only slightly). Which, of course, means a few hours at one of the bars is in order.

They can fix the building, build it back up as if it never came down, but it's left its mark. Martha thinks, feeling only slightly philosophical as she sits in a seat at the counter, halfway through what she's pretty sure happens to be her...third, maybe fourth, Long Island Ice Tea.

She'd been lucky. If she'd stopped to have breakfast that day, she'd probably be dead. And then her family...they wouldn't know. Ever. they'd go on for years, thinking she disappeared off the face of the Earth. And while she has disappeared, she isn't dead and gone yet. And besides, it's one thing to be stuck Here. But to die here? No.

She originally came for one drink. One drink, and then she'd return to her room. But one drink became two, and two was more than enough to put her in a mood. She looks at her glass, finding it not halfway as she'd thought, but completely empty. She shrugs, not caring much that she was wrong. "Another Long Island Ice Tea."

She picks it up when it appears in front of her and takes a sip.

Fitting in - Peter Petrelli - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Peter didn't know how he was meant to feel. This place was still so new to him and the sense of grief that was still palpable in the air wasn't his grief. He knew about grief of course, about loss but these people had lost friends that he would never know,

For the most part, in that regard he was on the outside looking in.

The newly refurbished bar has become kinda a regular haunt of his, And so he sits telekiniticly moving his glass from one side of the table to the other for the sake of something to do with his time.

Holding out for a Hero - Peter Petrelli - OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
The puzzle was starting to annoy him. It had been sitting on the desk in Nathan's study. He'd been in and out of there a lot lately. Planning he supposed. Cause the fight was in no way over. He didn't know if Hiro had actually gotten Adam and there was Sylar.

Apparently dead didn't always mean what he'd assumed it did.

He held the box with one hand and waved his other watching the pieces spin and finally fall into place. Bit of a cheat but....

...

He opened his eyes and looked around to see a ceiling, flames.

And he'd fallen on a bit of wood that had somehow gotten lodged pointing up. He pulled himself up by his arms, hating the sensation of the bones and muscles knitting back together as he moved but inwardly thanking Claire for the ability.

Finally free of it and healed he stood up

Had he teleported without knowing it?. Had he caused this?. He looked down at his hands but he seemed to be okay. And he'd learned to control that power.

But more importantly people were in danger.

He looked around and opened his mind to sense people. Anyone in danger. Hearing a voice in the rubble he managed to pull a few beams away telekineticly freeing a guy. The next. A brunette in her late teens he'd been too late to save.

What the hell had happened here?

Regeneration-ation-ation - Romana/Doctor later appearance by Mark (Locked)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
"You're wrong you know" she tells him, amused as he tried to affix the coils to the coolant system. "The Linain scale is an archaic system, you should know that better than me"

She loves this, another Time Lord, more than that, The Doctor. And its nice. Its friendly and its comfortable. And Romana never believed she could have that with him again.

And she likes it when she's smarter than him.

"Though it might take a Triple First to really...."

Its the last thing she says before the explosion. It comes from the pipes and it sends flame into the machinery.

It could make it worse. She raises Dark eyes to meet the Doctors and grabs the sonic screwdriver.

She does what she can and finally it shuts down...but flames are engulfing the room and the pain in her head, the wet, makes her reach down, to the blood seeping from her side. She hadn't even noticed what had done it.

"Doctor" she calls weakly "Doctor..."

It was giving out, this body. Not long to last.

She needed him with her.

"Doctor" she called again.
