I can hardly believe that anyone would think that Ash is as pure as snow, or I might actually have some sort of crush on Bella. Though Lily, I would adore to hear your beauty regimen if you truly are that old and able to look that fantastic.

Hogwarts in a couple of days and starting my last year there. Thank every star in the sky for that. There's only so much you can learn in a school environment, and honestly, most of it isn't that difficult to learn at all.

School is almost here and I find myself excited to see Hogwart's hallowed halls once more. I wish to remind those in the Slytherin house, and honestly every house that the older students must be careful and be shining examples for our younger students. Remember, should anyone need anything remember that my door is always open to those seeking it.

So summer was eventful. Paris, Milan, Hawaii, and then we finished off in Indonesia. Returned home to an amazing party (excellent, as always, Sera) and now the world cup this weekend to finish off an amazing summer. Pity that the summer is coming to an end though.

So it would appear that my father and your grandmother never got to talking. Or the head of the Sorrento family got to my dad first. It was a mass engagement, actually. A whole group of us brought together and assigned like a group project.

As usual, Seraphina threw a lovely pool party. Her house is quite lovely for these sorts of events. It was nice to see everyone and hang out for the afternoon. I'm sorry for those who missed it, and for those who I missed at the party itself.

With every passing day of summer, we draw closer to another school year. I feel that it's important then to embrace the warm weather and freedom that we have for now by celebrating. So after gathering my father's acceptance, I have decided to have a pool party next weekend.
As much as I dislike some of you, the party will be open to all. I hope to see everyone there!

As if my parent's strictness wasn't enough, New York seems to be going through a freaking heatwave. It's too hot and muggy to go out and do anything fun, and there really isn't anything to do inside beyond sit around in the AC. There's nothing to read, nothing on tv, and I finished my summer homework ages ago. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait till school starts up again. At least then I'll be able to do stuff.

On the plus side, my parents haven't started talking up suitable suitors for me like I feared they would since I'm starting to get 'that age'. Then again, to get married off the other people kinda have to know that I exist.

Mom's having money problems again. We went shopping this morning and her credit card was declined and we had to use the one Daddy gave me. I honestly don't know where her money goes. I know far too well what her support orders are, and Daddy pays for most of my expenses.

I had a lovely time on Martha's Vineyard. Daddy had a few days off, so he flew me out for a visit and was even able to come out to the family house but had to get back to Boston for a charity dinner tonight, so I'm back at Mom's house now in MC for anyone looking to hang out.

I hadn't realize that summer is almost half way over until I got a letter from the school with my O.W.L. marks. I'm still amazed that I survived those two hellish weeks. I also got this neat little thing that I'm writing in. Magical Journals I think it's called. I feel like because we have to write in them that this is summer homework. Do we get graded? Is the threat that these things will turn into some kind of monster true if we don't write in them? Do I want to find out?

Anyways since I did so well on my O.W.L.s Dad has finally gave in and decided to let me get a pet. His biggest mistake in agreeing is letting me decide what I should get. He should know better by now.

Off to Quinque Alley to see what I can find!
