Not being home for my son's birthday? Probably one of the worst feelings I have ever dealt with. Yeah, sure, we threw a birthday party anyway, but leftover birthday cake for breakfast just wasn't the same. I miss Harry.

According to a woman I ran into at the grocery store today, I should cut my hair now so that I'm used to the shorter length before the baby comes in a few months. Thank you for the absolutely unsolicited advice woman I've never even laid eyes on before today. I think I'll just do the same thing I did when Harry was a baby and wear my hair pulled back so the baby can't grab it.

So has anyone ever actually dealt with a hurricane before? I've already gone to the mart and picked up supplies. Lily was not amused by my mass purchase of candy, but I told her it will keep our energy up. ...she made me go back for fresh fruit and bread and the like.

I should probably go ahead and accept that this isn't an odd dream or some sort of practical joke that our friends are playing. At least the medical care here is good, different than St. Mungo's but it'll work until we can figure out a way to get home to Harry. I should probably introduce myself - Lily Potter.
