What: They're not truly running away as Bobby would never put anyone in that sort of danger, but getting away, again, for a bit, usually helps with any kind of frustration. Then again, so does some childish playing on the swings and the guy finally admitting that he likes the girl.

Left outside of Paige Guthrie's room is a glass vase holding a small bouquet of white and pink daisies, a mylar "Happy Birthday" balloon and a yellow envelope. The card inside is a silly American Greetings birthday card especially for a girl's 18th birthday. It says:

Happy (Belated) Birthday, Guthrie! You're legal now -- you know what that means...

What: The registration news definitely seems to have a lot of people up in arms, so Bobby offers to take Paige out for a bit of a drive. Sometimes it's just best to get out for some fresh air.

Your characters are more than allowed to jump between threads, so don't think you need to pick an event and stick to it! In fact, your character can be in two or more sub-threads simultaneously, under the assumption that they take place at different points in the day. What: So, the kids who wanted to play got to play for a little while, but they got kicked out because they're students and they're underage and the grownups want to drink. :P To save time and sanity, this is late in the evening after the remaining hardcore grownups have been playing poker and drinking for a WHILE... and it's less about playing more about... the other stuff. I'm setting this late in the night just because I think the best stuff would happen later in the evening instead of actually playing out the card game, so we're left with the five hardcore players ... and then if anyone else wants to stop in, they can :) Oh, did I mention they've resorted to strip poker?

When: Early morning Saturday, March 15 and moving into March 16, 2008 -- this battle will last at least two actual days, maybe longer, which will account for any "frozen" time if the thread stalls the rest of the game----this is a battle of such importance that it would make no sense if it only lasted one day.

What: John and Rogue are going to head home today with a relatively clean bill of health... but being trapped in a scary place with an old best friend means that John can't just leave without saying anything.

What: Bobby's finally home after being away for quite some time against his own free will. He's a bit on the banged up side, so he's working on recovering in the medical lab. Hey! That's what happens when you get shot in the shoulder and no one looks at it and then your younger brother beats the crap out of you over the course of a month. But, a visit from Jubilee should help. As long as she doesn't come running in and jumping on top of Bobby in his hospital bed.

What: Logan to the rescue! Because that’s what he does. He rescues people.

What: Things never turn out good when your younger brother, who hates the fact that you're a mutant and outed you and your friends to the police, has become part of the very organization out to rid the world of mutants. It's even worse when said younger brother seems to have finally gone off the deep end and doesn't seem at all phased about causing plenty of pain and injury to his older brother.

Where: Salem Center town square
What: John and Bobby were supposed to meet at noon for a fight, but they had a pissing contest about who would get there first... so... it's seven in the morning and they're there waiting to fight. Rogue's there, too, to make sure that John doesn't do anything seriously stupid.



Hah. Suck on that, Bobby Drake. John Allerdyce was there first. It was just barely after dawn, but John was there. He was there first, dressed in a coat and gloves and hat, freezing his ass off. But he was there first, so there. That was one battle won. However, being five hours early to a fight meant that John was prepared to be bored. He was tired, and in order to pass the time he was sitting on a bench with a cup of coffee and a muffin.

So there, Bobby.

John's heart was racing. He couldn't wait. Maybe it was sick, but he couldn't wait to see him. He missed Bobby. He missed their friendship... but he couldn't go back. So, instead, he decided to beat the shit out of his old friend. Let out some frustration, deal with his inner demons.

He sat and waited. Took a sip of coffee. Checked his watch. Crowed about being there first. ---After about fifteen minutes of this he was bored out of his skull.

Who: Marie Allerdyce and Bobby Drake
When: January 16, 2008 [slightly backdated]; morning
Where: Salem Center
What: Bobby and Rogue run into each other in Salem Center. This is, of course, after Rogue sets fire to the front of a store and Bobby stops it. And yet that doesn’t stop them from having a civil conversation.

When: Late night after this
Where: The kitchen
What: Bobby confronts Jean-Paul about their 'relationship'

It was well past midnight and Jean-Paul was still wide awake. The students were all in their rooms of off somewhere breaking curfew, so the mansion was quiet for the most part. After Victor had left, Jean-Paul had spent the evening working on his revisions, grading papers, replying to emails, and general busywork. Now it was time to relax and he headed down to the kitchen for something to eat while he watched the hockey game he had saved on his TiVo.

He rummaged through the cupboards looking for pretzels or chips to go with his beer. After finally settling on a can of mixed nuts and gathered his things when he was ready to head back to his room. He was whistling softly to himself and didn't notice the figure standing in his way until they nearly collided.

"Oh! Bo— Robert. I didn't see you." Jean-Paul cleared his throat and looked down at his armful of food, pretending to make sure he wasn't about to drop anything.
