When: Early morning, Friday, October 17
Where: The school basement and elsewhere
What: The inspector switches up the time of the visit to say SURPRISE and be generally inconvenient. Governments, eh? This could work as a narrative but PLEASE feel free to have your characters do one or more or none of the following things: 1) react, 2) come into action, 3) cause trouble! Coming in would be nice because right now it feels like RP masturbation. XD

Kim Lincoln said she'd drive the van, but Aubrey was the one who ended up driving! Take that, Scott. And Aubrey was a good driver, too. A good driver and they managed to make it there in under three hours, arriving before noon. They had until seven o'clock and then they were driving back. Otherwise, the groups were divided up and sent on their merry way to do whatever they wanted. Roller coasters and other rides, a water park, plenty of unhealthy food and lots of place to spend money. Aubrey's only request was that students not run themselves into debt and have to borrow from chaperons----oh, no. His other request was that they not buy so many things that they couldn't haul them back onto the van. They had to be able to carry everything, including the giant teddy bears they could win shooting at two-dimensional ducks or playing Whack-A-Mole.

---That was, however, until Aubrey realized that all the stuff would fit into Kim Lincoln's purse. And then it was just a free-for-all.

What: Kitty stumbles upon Aubrey doing the computer-fixing job and discovers that she's lonely without a boyfriend. So, he vows to find her someone. Because. That's what Xavier's is about right now. That hot hot matchmaking. Maybe Aubrey will enlist Molly's assistance.

This should keep us from getting bogged down with doing everything completely chronologically, and if your sub-thread dies for one reason or another, you can always leap into or start a new sub-sub-thread. What: So, the kids who wanted to play got to play for a little while, but they got kicked out because they're students and they're underage and the grownups want to drink. :P To save time and sanity, this is late in the evening after the remaining hardcore grownups have been playing poker and drinking for a WHILE... and it's less about playing more about... the other stuff. I'm setting this late in the night just because I think the best stuff would happen later in the evening instead of actually playing out the card game, so we're left with the five hardcore players ... and then if anyone else wants to stop in, they can :) Oh, did I mention they've resorted to strip poker?

Where: Seattle, Washington
What: Kurt Wagner is still missing, and Tommy's drawing of him implies that he's either dead or very, very injured. Cerebro (assuming that Betsy and/or Emma managed to use it) suggests he's not dead and provides a decent idea as to location (can Rory or Corri let me know if this might have happened? :D). So, Logan takes Tommy, Aubrey, and a group of the juniors out to Seattle in order to search for him.
Notes: Seattle is pretty much contained by now but there are still a) the occasional Brotherhood members, and b) police officers and civilians who are looking to harm mutants as revenge for Magneto's rule, and c) other police officers who don't want these unauthorized people wandering around the wreckage. So, NPCs for that purpose = always welcome. I'm trying to structure this mission so that each person's specific powers will need to be utilized... so hopefully we'll achieve that!


( Logan wasn't sure when he'd gone from lone wanderer to the leader of a rescue squad. )

What: Aubrey is upset about his fight with Kasey and needs to talk to the one person in the school who sort of understands what he's going through.


Aubrey had been there for twenty minutes, and he'd been signing nonstop. It felt so good to be around Artie, to sign freely and be understood. He explained about his night with Kasey, about how the relationship was going, and about the fucking awful fight they'd had. He'd said all the wrong things and Kasey didn't want to see him and he just wanted to bang his head against the wall over and over and over again.

She hates that I can't communicate with her and I hate that I can't sign to her but she's learning, she's just not learning as fast as I thought she might learn and I'm frustrated... and I was an idiot and I snapped at her and... He sighed, raking his hands back through his hair as he flopped back on Artie's bed.

He continued from where he was lying. I lost my temper. It's not that I think she's completely in the right but I shouldn't have lost my temper. I was a complete dick. He groaned, frustrated, and dragged himself back up to sit. I'm sorry to unload on you but I figured you might get it, out of anyone else here... I know you're hearing but you don't speak, and... if anyone would understand, it'd be you.

When: Late evening, between January 29 and 30
Where: Outskirts of Salem Center... basic middle-of-nowhere kind of place.. in on Aubrey's car---and from there, who knows, if it goes anywhere
What: The ending of a date that was long overdue. However, Aubrey and Kasey end up arguing. In quite a nasty way. Oops.


Aubrey had been a bit distracted the whole night.

They both were, really. Who wouldn't be? Magneto ruled the country, sure, but there were other matters. Magneto had been at the school for a week, the school had just been attacked by a bunch of people who were supposed to be dead, Bobby Drake was missing. Oh, and Fauntleroy, one of Aubrey's six white mice, was dead, which just put a cap on that whole depressing chain of events. So, really, they were supposed to go out about two weeks ago. More than two weeks ago... but things just kept getting pushed back and pushed back again.

Finally, they had to give up and just go. They both needed a break and Aubrey would overwork himself if he didn't take this time with Kasey to stop and breathe. They'd gone out for Chinese and had ended up staying until the place closed, with Aubrey leaning against Kasey and holding her hand in comfortable silence.
