What: The inspector switches up the time of the visit to say SURPRISE and be generally inconvenient. Governments, eh? Your characters are more than allowed to jump between threads, so don't think you need to pick an event and stick to it! In fact, your character can be in two or more sub-threads simultaneously, under the assumption that they take place at different points in the day. This should keep us from getting bogged down with doing everything completely chronologically, and if your sub-thread dies for one reason or another, you can always leap into or start a new sub-sub-thread. What: FIRE ALARM. And no, kittens, it's not a drill!

When: Friday morning, around 4 AM
Where: Arla's room, the wine cellar, then Arla's room
What: Arla can't sleep and all the liquor in her room is gone, so she goes to the wine cellar for a nightcap----to find Xi'an there with much the same purpose in mind. They go back to Arla's room to drink and talk about politics and moving on from the past until Arla falls asleep.

Where: The swimming pool
What: David's in desperate need of exercise after getting himself rather thoroughly beaten in Washington ... and figures of all the places to have an accidental run-in with Arla, the pool is a decent bet.

What: The morning after the thread between Arla and David. No, no, playing Parcheesi is not a metaphor.

When: Late evening (rather late-late evening), March 9 (into March 10)
Where: David's office
What: Arla's frustrated about training for her scary battle assignment and she's been training so hard that she's hurting herself. David said he had some salve that would help her hands, so she's gone to bother him.

This was left outside Arla's door with an old Christmas bow stuck to it. When she unfolded the hat, a small note card fell out that red:

Who; Jack Bantock and Arla Lawrence
When; February 17th, evening
Where; McNally's Bar and Grill
What; Jack's really bored, so he offers to answer Arla's questions in exchange for food and beer. Too bad she didn't know it was that easy in the beginning, right?



Jack Bantock was easily bribed, especially when he asked for said bribe. After that clone fiasco, all that was really going on with Sinister was that weird fixation he had with the Mirror woman, and Jack's job with that was over. There was no reason to hang around Sinister and watch him wank off to the Japanese woman, which meant a drink was in order. And a burger. With onions. But no mustard; mustard and onions never went together.

McNally's was actually owned by a small middle eastern man (or whatever he was) that had begged and pleaded up and down to the government to keep his bar open, and as a result, it had attracted quite a few mutants who needed something to eat and a place to get drunk. It was dingy, it had gone a bit to seed, but the food was still good, so Jack waited at the table for Arla, smoking what must have been the last of the pack that day.

When: Around midnight, moving into Saturday, February 16
Where: Xavier's School, Teacher Lounge
What: Arla for the most part is back to her normal behavior but that doesn't necessarily mean she's actually normal. However, instead of hiding in the pool she's pigging out on ice cream in front of the television, so... we might be making progress.
