December 21st, 2012 was a day that changed history. A solar flare destroyed satellites, bathed the planet in radiation, and created mutants. It has been almost a year since the incident, and Professor Xavier and Erik Lensherr have come together to open The Xavier Haven for Gifted Individuals offers a safe place for the newly discovered race of mutants. Even within the walls of the Haven, trouble is brewing and the rift between Xavier and Magneto grows daily. This is truly a new world, and its future lies in your hands.

Arkham Asylum is one of Gotham City's oldest and most prominent establishments, dedicated to improving mental health since it's inception in 1914 by Dr. Amadeus Arkham. Today, Arkham is proud to operate as a fully functional rehabilitation center, research facility, and mental health care center. Arkham also has a long and storied history rehabilitating ultra-violent offenders within its maximum security confinement center, the equivalent of a supermax federal prison. Arkhams is a Gotham City/Batman-based game set around an escape plot, made by the Joker and executed by his followers, the Jokers and Harley Quinn. Through deals with the employees of Arkham Asylum and his own cohorts in crime within those cells, some big names while others were transferred from Blackgate Penitentiary, the Joker managed to escape and take over the island. With their cells open, the super villains of Gotham City are free to terrorize once more and it is up to the Batman and his allies to save the city.

The why does not matter, the facts are simple: The world is your oyster. You waste away your days in the ways that only the most wealthy and privileged can, but it all becomes monotonous. That's when you hear it whispered. The Island. You see the excited sparkle in your friend's eyes as they allude to it in hushed tones. No one will speak openly of it, people scatter and eyes avert when you mention it. You ask, you threaten, you bribe, finally a friend tells you to purchase a ticket on a small private jet. It would only take one more attack to push them over the edge.

Axis City is a bustling metropolis, populated by all kinds of people. Even those who can fly. Untested technology and scientific misadventure has gifted people with powers beyond their wildest imagination, and the city is in the grips of a crime wave unlike any other it has ever known. The police battle desperately with criminals they can’t contain and Super Heroes are mistrusted and feared for the damage they cause.

Mayor Harlan Mendyk faces an unpalatable decision- to pass legislation to register all those with powers or allow them to keep their secret identities and risk being hounded out of office. City Hall splintered; Police Chief Simone Weaver thinks that the Supers can be used in the fight for Justice, DA Dylan Stone thinks they are vigilantes.

Axis City is a city divided.

The only person benefiting is corrupt business man Alexander Moretti. His influence spans every strata of Axis society and as the final debate nears he plans to be sitting on the top of the pile.

Ever wished you were a superhero?
Axis City is an Original Superhero RPG where you choose who you are – superhero, villain or leading lady. Through scientific error superheroes, and their villainous counterparts, have been let loose on an unsuspecting city and tensions run high. Debate rages as to whether Supers should be registered, or allowed to keep their secret identities. Mass media and the politicians are quick to take sides, whipping the public up into a frenzy. And the Lex Luthor of Axis City – Alexander Moretti – plots to make sure this debate ends the way he chooses.
