Marshalsea - Where Ghosts & Humans Colide - on Dreamwidth

Marshalsea is a unique experience to play completely original characters with no canon. We will have ghosts that have been haunting the place from around 1800 to the late 1960's and maybe beyond. We have the kind of humans that think it is keen to kip in an old abandoned insane asylum. It is an open minded game where everything goes. Some ghosts are benevolent and some are malevolent. There will be deaths, and there will be suicides ans sides change. As time goes on, that which separates the live from the dead in this place will grow thin and all will interact freely - driving all a bit mad.

Marshalsea - Where Ghosts & Humans Colide - on Dreamwidth

Marshalsea takes place in an abandoned insane asylum inhabited by ghosts (mostly from 1802 - mid 1960's) that met untimely ends for various reasons. Some are malevolent and some are benevolent. They closed the asylum in 2002, but the kind of human that finds it keen to set up a home away from home in an abandoned insane asylum has led to a growing population of humans as well. Some of the ghosts are willing to kill to get them out, some would do anything to protect them. The veil is growing thinner the longer these two populations stay together... leading to - spoilers darling.

[info]cuckoosnest - a multifandom game set in a psychiatric hospital

Don't have fancy banners or anything, since I'm not the mod, but wanted to pimp this game a bit for a friend. (I may be bringing this character, Cordelia Chase from Angel the series, into the mix as part of the befrieder program. I play several others over there too.)

Setting: Nest Hill Psychiatric Hospital, somewhere in New England, USA. Present.

Premise: Multifandom where the patients' delusions/illnesses relate to what the characters can normally do or encounter in the show, movie, book, etc. that they are taken from. If your character has powers, in the fandom of your choice, then in the game it's only a manifestation of their mental illness. Or your character can be a staff member: doctor, nurse, etc. A 'befriender program' has also recently been created. Your character would be a good Samaritan looking to mentor those poor souls who have been committed to the hospital... or maybe your character has other motives. The possibilities are endless!

Right now it's a pretty small group, but there are many fandoms to expand upon. Buffy, Heroes, Lost, Dr. Who, Supernatural; to name a few. Of course other fandoms are welcome. Please go take a look and consider joining. Plenty of crazy fun! The mod is amazing as well, very helpful and understanding.

Check out the mod journal to read the faq, see what characters are taken and perhaps hold a character: [info]thecuckoo and ask questions over there!

Thanks for your time!

Cheshire Crossing; a Pan-Fandom Asylum-based IJ RPG

As children, we're expected not just to believe in fairy tales, but to embrace them. Boys can fly and live as children forever, girls can be rescued from their evil step-mothers and whisked away to castles in pumpkin coaches; the world is an endless stretch of possibility set against a backdrop of inherent freedom.

It is only a fiction. The world eventually reveals itself to be an unkind place, the villains not easily defeated, no fairy godmother to come to the rescue. The loss of innocence is taken in stride by some, and those fortunate masses go on to become grown-ups, to live out their lives in some boring profession or another, to forget magic after passing it along to their own children.

But what of those who grow older without growing up? What if Alice witnessed something so terrifying that she never wanted to leave Wonderland? What if Belle's beast was so cunning and so cruel that she could not bear to part from him, his murder of her father aside? For all of those who fell through the cracks, for the most unique and the least privileged, the untouchable and the uncared for, for the most heartbreaking and horrifying, there exists a refuge. The shelter? A deceptively quiet New England hospital; Cheshire Crossing.

What would you do if you lost your magic?

A virus is sweeping its way through the corridors at Hogwarts. A virus that inhibits the use of even the most basic magic. The Ministry have declared a state of emergency and placed a magical quarantine around the school, trapping the disease, and everyone inside.

But it's not just students confined to the Hogwarts grounds.

One by one people find themselves losing their ability to perform even the simplest of spells. But even as they struggle to try and discover a cure, darker forces are beginning to close in on the school.

Death Eaters stalk the forest, cabin fever is beginning to spread like wild fire, students dreams are linked and most unpredictably, Cedric Diggory's ghost has returned!
And according to him, more are coming...

Plagued RPG is a Post-war Hogwarts-based Harry Potter RPG set in the year 1998. We're a very open, friendly, plot driven game with added twists and surprises to make sure there's never a dull moment in writing. We value character interaction and development and encourage characters to interact through journals, open threads and the experimental 'Grab Me' Policy!

There's no where to run when it's in your blood...
