Kristoff came home soaked in blood. He immediately questioned the staff as to how Maxine was doing, and essentially received the report that she physically was recovering fine, but seemed unhappy. He cleaned off and changed as quickly as he could and went to see her.

After a day to clean up, recover, and look after Maxine's injuries, Kristoff new he had to contact Latveria -- surely his father would be fine, but it was still necessary to deal with so much.
