Attempted maths. Numbers are much simpler. Began with those previously attempted and already proven before moving into those that had not been, seeking solutions to problems with clear and in obvious ones. A metaphor, perhaps an escape, in either case neither was assist-able. So, it has occurred to me that my best mate showed up ten days too late for us to celebrate his birthday here, by this calendar.

Then I had another thought. They happen sometimes at random intervals. I thought, wouldn't it be great if we all knew when each other's birthdays were?

So anyone who wants me to sing Happy Birthday to them on their birthday should sign in with their birthday.

I might even be able to con someone into making a cake for your birthday.

I've found several large pots in one of the shops, and potting soil. Would you happen to be free for a Mandrake re-potting session after lunch?

I just thought everyone would like to know there's a ton of colored popcorn kernels (to make colored popcorn) in the Halloween store.

Seems to be a lot of black and orange and purple, but I think I saw some green further down. And there are mixed bags that definitely have green in them.

Lily also told me I could announce the Halloween costume party. We'll be having it Saturday evening. In the lobby.

People are encouraged to help decorate the lobby tonight.

So, Jaime's not terribly fond of me right now. After Aang stopped by to check the moonstone (it's fine, by the way, if you haven't gotten around to testing yours), I had the brilliant idea that they'd planted more things around the island.

I don't know how they're managing to grow everything in this climate, but I ran her through a list of common plants used in various potions, and we went out to check. I've included a list of what's here. Plus the moonstone. I didn't have the heart to set her on the animals today, but we'll tackle that next week or so.

Is it wrong that it scares me they're granting us such easy access to so many things?

The chaos has been very distracting but I just today noticed there are ... holiday decorations in one of the halls.

Was anyone interested in doing any sort of celebrating for Halloween? Maybe a trick or treat or a party or some sort of costume contest?

Oy sniffed out some bullets in one of the shops. Tucked underneath one of the display cases.

They don't fit my gun though. .45s fit mine, and these are a little smaller. If you think they fit yours, stop by. I'm in 301.

The box wasn't labeled or anything, and they might be duds. Only one way to find out though.

I'm glad everyone is okay now. I'm okay too. That video wasn't nice, making us believe they were mauled So.. new place. Looks good! Can't wait to explore it. I was really interested to see their pool, though. It looks great up there. Tyler, you here too? I'm roomed on third floor now. I would first like to apologize for the ... lateness of this, but I spent a great deal of today catching up with everything.

For those who haven't had a chance to speak with anyone (or who simply aren't aware of what's going on), our captors somehow created or forged videos of devastation on each island, leading everyone to believe the others on the opposite island had been killed.

This is not the case. Everyone is alive and well -- as well as can be expected, given the circumstances.

I imagine we'll at least have the weekend to settle in, and then Monday may well be back to business as usual ... so take advantage of the time while you have it.

Breakfast will be served as usual, and of course, Lucky will be tending to the evening meal.
