This weekend is Thanksgiving. I'm happy to host again this year if anyone wants to come. Feel free to bring a dish or just an empty stomach.

It's been too long since we've all had a meal together and there's plenty of new faces to join in this year.

I don't care if it's an overdone trend, all I want from now on is pumpkin spice everything.

Tangentially related: Steve, Sam, as soon as there's a pumpkin patch open, we're going. I don't know when Halloween became such a huge deal, but this is way more fun than the 30s and 40s.

I'm guessing the note I found under that plate means those cookies weren't for sharing exactly. They were delicious. There's still a couple left, too.

I was trying to decide where jellyfish fall on my weirdness scale, and you know what, I'm not even going bother. I'm just going to accept this and move on.

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with myself for, that I managed to bake cookies without burning the house down, or that they're actually good.

The end of this year has an odd overtone to it in place of the nostalgia and humming anticipation I expected. The abrupt change of scenery and lack of familiarity are to blame, I am well aware, though perhaps I'm only voicing such in hopes I'm not alone in this sentiment that I'm not even certain I'm fully articulating well.

I've been here one day and already I've heard so many strange things... but there is no war?

I really just saw two girls surfing a snow pile on a whale with way too many rainbows involved and I still probably haven't seen everything crazy in this place.

You kids need to go inside, play some old school Nintendo and calm down.

It might be early, or not depending on how you look at it.

I'm American, if that means anything to anyone, and the Festival has me thinking about things. We had a holiday called Thanksgiving, and while it has some history to it for sure, most people used it as a chance to meet with their families and friends and share a huge meal.

With so many of the Avengers here, and no threats needing our attention, I'd like to get together. Everyone could bring some dish to share and it could just be a potluck.

I'd also like to extend the offer to everyone who spoke with me and the support group. A lot of us are alone here, and we don't have to be.

I call dibs on making instant mashed potatoes, cause I know I can accomplish that.
